Actually, mantle was developed to take advantage of the true potential in the new consoles. It does benefit amd users the most... But Microsoft went with amd apu's. So I hate to tell you this, but amd is only trying to shut nvidia out, not Microsoft. I understand concepts fine thank you.

I like how everyone conveniently skips over the part where mantle is already doing this, and go straight to, this will help the xboxone because...

this truthfully has been an issue in pc gaming for many years. I just find it funny that AMD actually came out with a solution, and only a handful of games use it. Meanwhile, DX11, and gameworks keep getting touted as better.

thats just patently untrue. so many amd gaming evolved games were smoked by nvidia cards head to head against amd.

Games only disappoint when you buy in to hype. Ignore the hype, and wait, and you are rarely disappointed.

Why would you have a network with all your confidential work and information, hooked to the internet? If you were smart you would have a local network with no internet connection. That way you could construct your game without fear of hackers,

While I see what you're trying to say, and don't completely disagree. You can break it down as simple as this. Call me when they make a 1000+ watt tablet! and I will begin to believe it's possible to out do a gaming PC.

Have you guys not played resident evil before? As long as it's hitting above 4 fps the game is completely playable, and still a great game. Fps matters when you want fluid motion. You want high fps in racing games, first and third person shooters, action games etc. you don't care if you're getting 60fps in a rts do you? No, because it doesn't matter. This game has static backgrounds, static cameras, and is so far removed from a high fps count need, it's not even funn...

Wow! I watched the first season and loved it, but never thought about a game for it (I must be slipping). But its a wonderful idea, and looks like these guys are pulling it off nicely.

Be grateful its 400? Because you bought it at 600... smh. One you bought it at launch, so duh you paid more, that's why most wait to jump to new technology, the price. If you didn't know that its on you.

Two, be grateful its 400? if I wanted a console that did sub 1080p at 30 fps and below I would get one... Ohh I did, for 100 its called the xbox 360. Nothing about either console imo is worth 400 or more. they do things ever so slightly better than last generati...

the fact that manhunt, and tenchu aren't on the list, just shows how little the author knows.

It is your right and responsibility to read the EULA before you accept it. Clicking the agree button at the bottom is as good as signing your name, and a EULA is a legal binding contract. If you just click agree without reading what your agreeing to who's fault is that?

Now don't get me wrong, most EULA's are unbearably long, and hard to understand. And I don't agree with this practice at all. But if I offer you a contract, an...

I was going to say something witty, and explain how wrong you are. But I've boiled it down to: "you sir, are an idiot!"

actually last gen, microsoft went with ATI. Nvidia's only, and direct competition. The graphics chip placed in the 360 rivaled what you could get in computers at the time.

See most graphics cards back then, like the chip used in the ps3, had a fixed number of pipelines for vertex shaders, and a fixed number for pixels. But the chip used by ATI in the xbox used unified pipelines. this gave it the ability to switch pipelines, and use them for whatever process was need...

You realize you used an nvidia product, to fix a problem on your nvidia card, to play a game made with nvidia game works... Right? You might not know it, but every nvidia game works made game has had problems initially on amd cards. It would appear that after a few weeks to months of patching by amd some seem to work.

Wether this is nvidias fault, or the developers making the game is fair game. But stating there are no problems with amd cards, on nvidia game works games s...

In the game informer article, they say you can now multi teather things. They show Rico, and an npc tethered to a gas can he shot, and are flying through the air. So I would imagine there are a few new grappling hook tricks.

You mean using one of the newest, and most expensive video cards works well? I would've never guessed.
