So many games have come out over the last couple of years, that seem to lack any kind of QA. Or it's just what the developers/producers are going to do from now on, make a game send it out 80-90% complete and patch it the rest of the way when they get they're money.
Glad I wait for price drops on steam and amazon nowadays.
If this is such an early build (1 month old) as they claim, which by the way isn't that old. Then why don't they just patch clients, and servers with a more current beta build? It could easily be done since this whole debacle is run through origin.
I have this game pre-ordered, and look forward to it coming out. But the Operation Metro map was a poor choice to show to the public. I got the chance to play Caspian Border and can say it is more true to original battl...
that is f'ing awesome. It made me laugh so hard to watch this video.
To everyone yes it is a beta. Yes there may be a newer build. But there are a ton of issues in this beta, and some drastic changes from typical gameplay. I'm keeping my preorder because I'm still having fun, but I am very concerned that they would put this out as a preview to everyone.
yeah I have dual 5770's, and I'm felling a little inadequate!
I don't car how destructible a map is! I just can't wait to blow stuff up.
l4d and l4d2 where entirely different games, and entirely different ideas. not cs3 and 4,5,6, etc.
And as far as moding tools, that's an added benefit of playing on pc, and probably the reason only the xbox got a very horrible version of cs.
I get what your saying and comparisons can be made as far as drumming up revenue. But activision has completely whored themselves out, thus I don't really see it as being the same.
Sounds like you have no skill, and don't know how to play. So you come on a forum to bash one of the greatest fps games in history, and it's community. Way to show how much class you have.
The engine is old. But they never tried to sell dlc, after dlc, or come out with constantly repackaged versions of the same thing. They made a game, they made it right, and they left it alone.
And more so on top of that they let the community do whatever they want to it.
Don't ever compare COD to CS or CS:S, unless its to say that COD got something from CS.
The only problem I have is not with the phone. I don't like verizon otherwise I would probably own this phone.
The game is great, but if something breaks your attention, even for a minute. The computer will throttle you, even on easy.
Super Metroid ftw!
Some of what they describe sounds pretty nice. But as a whole I really don't understand the hype around this game.
Maybe it's only the footage I've seen, which has been 720, or 1080 quality, but this game doesn't look graphically ground breaking. The combat seems no different than any other shooter.
What am I missing that makes this game so special other than it being made by ID? Don't take this the wrong way I'm interested in the...
it's called puberty.
I love the fact that some people are shocked at the lengths corporations go to make money. That's all they care about period, so of course they will do whatever it takes to make more!
"Battlefield 3 Not on Steam so EA Can Offer ‘Best Possible Experience’"
lol if that was true, EA wouldn't be involved in any way, that's the best possible experience.
I have to agree and disagree. It was CounterStrike, but in name only. It didn't look, feel, or play like CounterStrike at all. Even the maps were completely different.
I'd say it's less about foresight, and more about standards.
Each console that's come out has had roughly double what the console before it had. Since the ps1/ps2, xbox/360, they hit somewhere between double what the last console had, and half of what a high end computer has. Consoles are allowed this luxury because they are not running a system hog os, on top of a high end game.
Currently your average gaming pc has 4-8 gb of ddr3 ram, expect ...
Shocking!
THQ's strategy= take away everything that made the last game popular, then wonder why nobody likes the new one.
The n64 had a ram upgrade. I was dumb enough to buy it and I'm here to tell you, it made very little, to no difference whatsoever. I believe it was more of a ploy to make money than anything.
I agree. With an age where everyone is looking to make money after they release a game, I find it very plausible.
