Just wondering kevnb, but why should they relax? This industry as a whole seems to think its alright to release products in a non-working state, without consequences. Fact of the matter is we are customers, paying for a product. If this was a tv you bought from company x, and you got it home and it didn't work. You would call company x, and when they told you, too bad we will work on getting it up and running, with no disclosed time frame, you would be irrate!

I for one look forward to getting this. I would prefer it on steam and will wait a bit. But the idea of getting this game, just to show my wife why I love final fantasy so much, is thrilling.
As long as I get his knife to play with, I will be happy!
Although I understand the way you feel, you could look at it as maybe they found so many problems in the ps3 version, that they're still working at it, and rather than giving you a half done patch, they're cramming it all into a big update. Console submissions take time to get approved.
On the pc, no checks and balances for an update is a blessing, and a curse. Sometimes you get a great patch, sometimes they break the game worse.
My favorite was always the thor. Every bit the ankle bitter the jenner is, but with machine guns! Annoying can be seriously fun.

This game seems really good to me, but I only get to play it for like 5 mins, then punkbuster kicks me. I've read on the forums that's a client side issue I need to resolve.
totally agree, these numbers could be true... but given AMD's track record I don't see an increase that big happening, especially without a substantial price increase.

my launch 60gb died about 3-4 months ago. I was in the middle of playing Final fantasy.
Got to admit, it lasted longer than my xbox (which died 3x in 4 years). But still hardware has sucked this gen. especially considering I payed $600 for this thing, and getting a new one isn't a true replacement for my O.G. ps3.

BF3 is no gem, but compared to that demo video its light years ahead. Crysis 2 Graphics are better than BF3 no doubt. But evidently its capable of rendering small corridors, or sections that well. BF3 has scale and quality.

I'm not saying it wasn't overpowered. The one time I used it, I told the squadmate I was playing with it felt like cheating.
But now its COMPLETELY worthless. So whats the point in having it at all?
