What company is going to be willing to sell consols at a loss to keep them in the competition?
If you don't sell a console at a loss, you may as well just build a PC.
They need HD-DVD and BluRay in there as well....

I was all ready to respond by point out that I'm playing Nintendo games emulated on Linux on my PS3.
But then I relized that has nothing to do with this post.
As for the XBox Arcade. Who wants a system without a HDD? And who wants to add the "special" HDD seperately? However, you can't go wrong by offering a wide selection of games.
The day Master Cheif rang the closing bell on Wall Street, I think it became official that Halo extends well beyond the XBox community. Halo is the standard, Halo is the most widely known video game of our day, and GameStops moderation is a little over the top if you ask me.

No I don't think that. If I did think that, I probably would have said it, but I've not said any such thing.
PS3's OS does take up more room. If I remember 360 OS takes about 30 (bit lowball) and includes everything, and the PS3 once took maybe 120 (that's highball by far) if you had everything enabled in-game, like buddy list, etc. The 360 OS is clearly better. So a highball estimate would be that the 360 has a good 90 megs of ram on the PS3. Throw into this the divided ram on the PS3 (yet it performs faster, and better in some regards) and you can preaty well argue that 360 wins in the ram dep...
The author is trying to be as negative toward Haze as possible. Yet, in all his negative rantings, he never mentions poor graphics or framerates. Looks like the system can run it. It also looks like you didn't read the article. I've just waisted 10 seconds of my life by writing this. :(

The XBox 360 is still selling on par with the original XBox after it's first two years. XBox had about 11.5 million after 2 years. How many will the 360 have after 2 years?
It can easily be said that MS throwing money at devs is a good business move. (This is the true interpretation, it's a good move. Although I don't own a 360.)
On the other hand it could easily be spinned to say, "MS desperately tries to retain developers by paying them." See how that works?
Now, the real news here is that "PS3 wants developers to make games for the system." But is this really news? Sounds like Captain Obvious it making hi...
Anyone know if I'll have to have the same mod that the server is running installed on my PS3? Or can I autodownload it? Maybe the mods are simple enough that you dont' need to download at all?
If it requires everyone to have the same mod installed, all of you who are excited to make your own mods can probably channel your energy elsewhere. There will be more than a few saying "Hey everyone, go download my mod, it's really cool." and they will generally be ignored.
UT3 player will go crazy over Halo and GoW mods. Afterall, UT3 players want to play these games really really badly!
To bad they havn't stoped and thought for 20 seconds and relized if they wanted to play Halo, they could just buy the game Halo. [/sarcasm]

From what I've seen, this is the first image comparison that gives a clear distinction to the PS3. It also appears that the outcrys of "we're tired of image comparisons and they don't mean anything" is much more frequent here than it ever has been before? I wonder if there is any connection between to two?
Or could it be that people are upset they chose such bias screenshot to compare?
I was thinking the same thing. "This looks like a IGN video review."
The only difference being that IGN would close by saying "Although, not perfect, it's preaty close, and earns R&C a 9.4 out of 10."
GameSpot ends with "Although not perfect, it's a preaty good game, and on a consol that's in desperate need of good game."
That's the difference.
