Remember that you can upgrade the HDD yourself, and use a cheep USB hub to connect many more devices to your PS3 if needed.

IMO Sony isn't likely to release a PS3 server because they sell PS3's at a loss, and the last thing they want is someone buying the PS3 and then NOT buying games.

What will anger a lot of people is if they actually add a ram, cpu, or graphic card upgrade.

5.

20, 40, 60, 80, 160 gb versions.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5... At what point in that sequence did you become confused?

How about Gamov from Ninja Gaiden Sigma?

I could see you being right, it's not to far fetched.

However, I also consider that if they're still selling these consoles at a loss, then the LAST thing they want is someone using it as some kind of server, or any other non-gaming use.

They sell at a loss, and make a profit by selling games, and in the end they've come out in the green. Take the games out of the equation and they never get out of the red. (We all know this.)

Yeah, lets release an upgraded PS3.5, make all our earlier adopters pissed off that their playing second rate games, and send a clear message that "If you WAIT, you'll be able to buy something BETTER for CHEAPER!" (I guess that's the way technology is though.)

I can see the PS4 headlines now; "PS4 sales 17 units in its first month. Poll indicates consumers are WAITING for the better and cheaper version, and don't want to get screwed like they did last gen.&qu...

Yeah, but it's still not fair because he gets $200 bucks every time someone passes go and is forced to buy the next Windows OS. :(

LOL, a bubble for your witty comment. Still laughing. :D

Jay.

In all honesty I ask if you have any evidence to support that? I'm really not sure if it's true or not?

I know there was talk of a multiplatform release earlier, but is there any current indication that it will go to any other platform?

Well, well considering I don't have a $2000 dolar rig, I'll have to say that in my house, console shooters are better.

No doubt they can take $6000 in hardware and get it to run something more impressive than my little PS3 can. But I don't have that $6000 rig.

I do intend to buy a nice PC in another year or so, at that point we should really see PC's pulling ahead. When a new consol is released, it's up to par preaty much, but after a few years then it starts t...

I want a nice PS3 comeback as much as anybody, but crushing MS and XBox will only mean Sony can be lazy. If it wasn't for XBox keeping Sony on their toes we may well be playing $600 for the original 60 gig version far into 2008.

I'd like to see all 3 consols pull over 30% market share. Keep the competition, keep the inovation!

Yes, the record feature is one of the main things that draws some jealousy out of me. Halo 3 looks like a quality game, and that record feature is awesome. The advertising all those awesome videos will give the game makes the feature more than worth the effort.

The main argument seems to be that the PS3 would have done well to sell for $400 in Nov 2007, and the killer games that would shortly come would really seal the deal. Apparently in this scenerio the PS3 sales boom and it's a huge hit.

Turns out, the PS3 is going to be selling for $400 in Nov 2007, and the killer games are already out, with more coming. Will it still be a booming success?

Another thing, the PS3 isn't that much better than a 360 (I own and love m...

Am I going to get pwned by some vet just because I'm new and don't have the amazing one hit kill weapon he has?

I hope it's not a matter of "you have more skill, but I have more advantages, so I win; you're dead."

Ted Price FTW!

LOL, please don't take this too seriously.

The only thing I thought was that the player slamed harder on the "slam cam" on the PS3 version. LOL, but ultimately they looked the same.

Good job 2k. You're reward will be customers on both sides of the console divide, and you deserve it.

I wonder if it will really take a simple firmware update?

"Well Mr. Tompson, you presented a very good case, but I hearby pronounce MYSELF innocent. Court is adjurned."

If I was the defendent/judge, I'm preaty sure I'd just represent myself and be my own laywer as well. Maybe I could have like a fake mustache or something I could put on to help people tell what role I was playing at any particular moment.

If PS2 if FTW, then isn't PS3 FTW too, since it can play PS2 games?

I guess the answer depends on how many dolars you have? :)

I don't care how much longer it takes, but if they man up enough to give the PS3 a truely equal version (none of this fewer maps stuff) then I'll definately pick it up.

6694d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

For PS3 I'll pick up KZ over UT3.

UT3's already stated they're focused on PCs anyways, so I'll just get it for the PC. Only, I'll have to wait till I have a good enough PC, at which point I'm sure I'll find UT3 on a $5 bargin rack somewhere. :D
