Ever seen the movie, "The Pirates of Silicon Valley?"
I think we should start discussing whether the Genesis' "Blast Processing" makes it better than the SNES. It would be about as relevant as nit-picking over the smallest details regarding ram.
It's funny, while the console owners argue over their differing arangements of 512mb ram, PC owners are watching thinking "Meh, I have more ram than you if I only count the ram on my GPU alone; and thats not even getting into the 4 gigs I have on my mother board." You...
I don't think many have done it, I think this guy may have had water cooling, but I didn't check into it that far. I think it was just some guy on Andec forums who had it in his sig.
Maybe he was lying?
This game is boasting some preaty good technology, and if it can deliver, it should be amazing. Revolutionary even. That is IF it delivers.
Straight @ kicking is too shallow a story line in Lucas' eyes.
Hopefully they can put in their romance and commedy at the right times.
I'm guessing you played the beta on 360 then? How else would you have played the console version? That's a beta so it may not be completely fair to compair it to the PC version which is probably in later stages.
I know, when they allowed me to use any bluetooth headset I wanted and did not force me to buy theirs, I began to see how controling they were. Then, they let me use any keyboard and mouse. Next, they allowed me to install Linux on my PS3 which I can use for endless reasons. The final straw was then they did not force me to buy their special hard drive (which is really just like any other), but instead allowed me to just slap in any hard drive I want. For example, I wanted an updated hard...
I want to hear more about your graphic impressions of PC vs console. Some say they all look identical, so I'm not sure where you're coming from? I've not seen it though so I don't know anything. Any other opinions out there?
I've heard of some running that E6850 at 3.7 ghz. WOW! Maybe you could look into it if your into that kind of stuff.
It don't matter if you're black or white...
as long as you know which....
PS2/XBox has reversed this gen.
PS2 - Less powerful, more units sold.
XBox - More powerful, less units sold.
That was last gen, now lets look at a possible (and maybe probable) outcome of this generation:
PS3 - Most powerful (by a little), fewest units sold (by a little).
XBox 360 - Second most powerful, second most units sold.
Wii - Least powerful (by far), most units sold (by far).
This trend of "if we wan...
It maybe should, but that would be a little hard. You'd almost certainly have legitimate cards that the PS3 is to suspicious of and then would reject. Then you'd have customers saying "WTF!?! This is a legal card and it wont work!?!" We both know they would be VERY vocal about it. Instead, we get people being vocal about card copying, and you know anyone who's actually going to play more than 2 hours of this game is going to use their scanner to copy their cards (or just print o...
I'm just laughing because half the time someone says something like "I don't like it." and then people disagree.
"Damn, I really though that I didn't like it, but then someone online, hundreds of miles away, disagreed with me. I guess I do like it then." [sarcasm]
A rare sight. Someone quotes from the article and nobody disagrees....
All those who have been discussing the PS3's lack of memory, will you please show me where this article says their is not enough PS3 ram?
The article says their having problems with the ram because it's "different." The article then states that their are space issues on DVD and then everyone thinks "space issues on DVD -> PS3 ram problems -> PS3 ram space problems."
Where does it talk about PS3 ram SPACE/SIZE problems?
Actually, I'm saving for a PC so I can have the "better than both
worlds."
Also, as I stated in the under-used N4G forums: I really was considering purchasing a cheaper model 360 (needed a HDD though) the other day so I could play Halo 3. But when I remember I'd be adding $50 for the online, and would risk having hardware problems it kind of ended my enthusiasm.
Besides, if it's all a matter of ease of programming this laptop will run DOS base...
If I worked in a game store and someone asked "Will this play all my sons PS2 games?" I'd probably answer, "No, but his PS2 will play those PS2 games, and I'm not sure, but I would guess you're son wanted that PS3 for Christmas so that he could play PS3 games on it."
PS2 games are SO important to the PS3 that it will fail without them, yet at the same time these very important PS2 games are NOT worth playing a few extra bucks for....
I really don't understand that?
Think BC is a very important and must have feature? No problem, just pay a few more bucks and you can have it.
Besides, more than a few already have PS2, and if they're still running now you can expect several more years atleast. Some will prefer a...
I noticed they didn't say it was a matter of their not being enough ram, simply that is was handled differently than what most programmers are used to.
No kid wants to drag a lame video cable around when they're flying over the city in their 360. LOL, MS should put more emphasis on it's ability to fly, then even more people would buy it.
