Meh. These aren't stealth 'sims'. Being the most realistic Is hardly a vital aspect of this sort of game. Telling a great story maybe, being a lot of fun definitely. Realism? Not at all.
The devs can't be too lazy, they have a PC version there that runs fine on better hardware. Wii U just obviously aint that much faster than PS3 and 360.

Even a 550Ti can do 1920 x 1200 (better than 1080p) and 4x AA with well over 60FPS average on Black ops. Don't expect the sequel to be any more demanding. Thats lik...
PC version is spectacular. Can't beat that
Quake 3 arena, keyboard and mouse- the daddy of online console shooters. I mean that in the best way, it was absolutely bloody brilliant and jaw dropping.
Dreamcast was so far ahead of its time it is mindblowing to think of that now, 12 years ago I played that on console, virtually to the day...
ZoyosJD yes I did notice the margin for error, which any way you look at it isn't remotely close to 4k being noticeable. 1440p isn't even close to 4k and you struggle to see 1440p at a mere 5 feet on a 40 inch tv....Let alone anything further away!
Do your maths, 2560 x 1440 isn't even half 4k. 4k as in 4 times 1080p which is UHD- 3840 x 2160. So the graph is even more skewed towards my point, it is even harder to discern at 5 feet.
But then for e...
I think more like everyone is missing the point. The factors are screen size, resolution, and distance. 1080p on a small phone screen is ok, mainly because you tend to hold the thing about 12 inches from your face!
4K on a cinema screen is noticeable even from a decent distance(but not too far), mainly because the screen is 40+ feet wide!
However 4k on a 46 inch screen 8 feet away is different. You will probably struggle to glean a great deal more detail and ...
Polyphony did the same thing with PS3, when the PS2 started to reach the end of its life polyphony fiddled with GT4 in HD- HD concept.
Personally I think that 4k is not really required for most people in the home. If you are talking about a 40 foot cinema screen, or PC, or a PC monitor where you can play games from literally 2 feet away, you can tell the difference.
But at 8 feet or more like an average living room then you need 60 inch screens and more to ev...
Never been easier to get into PC gaming. Gone are the days of driver hunting for the most part, so many things are simplified. Obviously PC gaming isn't as easy or as fast even now to initially use as a console, but once the time and effort has been put into creating the machine it......is.
I have had a stable machine for a very long time now and it has been forever since i have done anything but update the graphics drivers, which are automatically found for me and a few ...
7870 is techically a generation newer process than GTX570, so it is far better for power consumption than the 570.
Really it is GTX660 you should compare with the 7870. The Radeon probably offers slightly higher performance and better overclocking, the Nvidia useful extra software level features like FXAA, Physx and a Dynamic Vsync mode.
Personally I feel you wouldn't notice the extra performance of the 7870 very much in practical terms, but in my opinion...
An x86 CPU is a very general purpose thing, and in all honestly, is useless for most intensive rasteriser tasks. Anything that can be done with hardware acceleration i.e on the GPU really MUST be done in hardware. Its just preposterously faster and more efficient.
If someone finds that a task costs similar amount of processing time written for a CPU or the GPU, say physics, then it could be good to do it on the CPU.
However graphics and physics these days are...
I don't expect a huge lot from Far Cry 3 but I do expect it'll look miles better on PC than it does on console. Far Cry 2 did, it was waaaaaay better looking on PC and with quick save a better game overall to reduce a great deal of that trekking frustration.
Far Cry 2 made good use of multi cores, 3 or more cores and the game sped up a lot with a decent quad core over a dual. It needed a powerful machine to max the game in DX10 BUT it also didn't need a monster PC...
You say new but its base architecture is probably at least 4 years old technology. The actual architecture might be in a 'new' configuration, but everything inside Wii U should be rather familiar to good devs.
This isn't some stunning cutting edge machine full of unknown technology developers will have to learn completely anew...
Wii looks more and more everyday like a supercharged 360. A bit more of everything, a bit faster. Nothing groundbreakin...
Radeon 7870 and Geforce 660 can do this and make it look like this in 1080p....not exactly budget but not exactly top end and expensive either.
This game is obviously a big step over and above the current console generation so compared to the cost of a potential next gen console capable of doing something like this (easily $500+) I would not exactly moan about the price of a PC to make it so beautiful!
It is a cost cutting exercise. Initially they can judge how the sales go, and then probably afford a price cut once the lines are at full speed and costs are lowered further.
Sony will probably be able to cut another 20 percent off the price of the machine and still make money on it early next year.
I would like to see how Wii U fares against a $200 PS3 base model...
Gameplay of course, BUT, if choose one technical aspect that needs work on that is very easy-
Artificial Intelligence.
I want to see proper leaps in coding for AI enemies and allies. In reality the AI we have now seems barely improved on what it was a decade ago in many games.
How many times do you see enemies or allies do incredibly dumb things...

Moore's law will probably end within the next 10-15 years.
It applies to existing silicon lithography which will either hit its practical ceiling within a decade, or become so expensive to be unpractical to shrink any further within this period.
Other ways will have to be found to keep increasing computer performance while reducing size and power consumption of the chips.
We have taken it for granted for the past 4...
You might think you are superman...but I am.
Galaxy S3 is a big phone no question but I am a big guy with big pockets. For you lesser mortals who are small then fine.
But i am 6' 5" and the Galaxy fits my big hands just fine and sits in my massive pockets easily :D
When I mean the Galaxy I mean the milky way of course. The S3 fits in there too
Galaxy S3 here, Iphone 5 would be an overpriced downgrade....
It could be ported I imagine but it would be late most likely. It would probably end up at least 6 months later than the other versions.
That would seriously impact the sales of it on Wii U, what with the console also having a small userbase typical of a newly launched machine. Less than 15m for sure in year one, probably less than 10m.
Rockstar may not see the point of it immediately, because it is obvious far and away the most sales and money and return wil...
I personally like how you said 'slightly better' which means you haven't played this on a good PC because the PC version is way ahead of the 360 version :D
