I don't think they are 'holding back' the Wii U version. Best case scenario is the Wii U version has a slightly more consistent framerate and the odd texture here or there, its still the same resolution.

Wii U is marginally faster than PS3/360 GPU wise but then its 6-7 years newer and has a lot more memory. At this point we are verging on mobile graphics technology surpassing those consoles they are so old....within about a year tablets are going to boast more per...

Xbox one: 1280 x 720
PS4: 1600 x 900

56 percent more resolution to PS4.

I remember when people used to make a fuss about just 10 percent comparing 360 to PS3!!! 56 percent is a huge difference.

Framerate: PS4 leads by 2-4 FPS more of the time in the campaign. The multiplayer shows an even larger visual difference IMO- you can see it even in these compressed videos which usually hide a lot.

DICE look like they had to c...

The difference with waiting for the next cards are that they should end up on a smaller process and will actually be a bigger jump.

Sometimes waiting for a refresh nets you little, or maybe a price cut, but waiting for a brand new generation on a brand new process is usually always worth it because it destroys prices and you'll get a lot more bang for your buck.

Project Gotham series is the best more arcade style racer with real supercars I have played on the current generation, even now PGR3 and 4 are just brilliant games. They look fantastic, they handle superb, the game is immense fun online and off.

Its 30FPS, and I don't care. It doesn't matter. It wouldn't be a much much better game if it ran 60FPS. It would be smoother, but the performance at 30FPS is so good and so solid and stable it doesn't really matter in ...

Not long!

No hiding from anything in just over three weeks. I'll all be blown open, be it PS4 and Xbox one

N4G will be exploding come that weekend of November 22nd when both are out in the wild

Bit late comparing these now. I played Arkham Asylum ages ago on 360 and then PC and it's far nicer looking on PC. Arkham City just widened that gap as well. Physx is a boon and looks absolutely amazing not to mention all the motion blur on PC completely invisible in stills. Everything is much sharper and combat is much smoother at 60 frames. Just as an aside for a minority here as well the Nvidia 3D vision on the Batman games is absolutely astounding. I know 3D has gone down the drain in...

Two bad things. DLC price and game engine optimisation.

It looks like it was designed in 2005 but it runs worse than Crysis 3. No. This is not an exaggeration. To max this game and get a minimum framerate of 30FPS all the time @ 1080p you need at least a Titan.

Luckily if you just run it with FXAA and the view distance a couple of notches down it runs alright on slightly less expensive hardware. But seriously. Make it run better FFS! A modern PC should run th...

An embargo is basically a ban, nothing reviewed before the end of the embargo.

Thing is, if this is true and ALL the other versions are to be reviewed at the same time except the Xbox one version despite the fact the game isn't out til later on PS4 as well, that screams of PR managing bad news doesn't it?

The very act of isolating and delaying news of the Xbox one version shouts it from the rooftops they are attempting to protect that one version for ...

Nvidia's GPU market share on PC is over 60 percent for discrete boards. Thats a pretty significant lead. Its been that way since forever so they do rule the GPU market and have done for years like Intel have always dominated the x86 market.

Its ironic you accuse Nvidia of peddling proprietary crap when AMD harped on about mantle for a while now, Nvidia have their own technology IPs same as anyone else, except Nvidia usually get decent support for them without having to pa...

Crysis has always had top quality motion blur, it was one of the first games that implemented object based motion blur in DX10 in 2007.

This greatly enhances the feel of a game running around 30FPS.

60FPS is a luxury for most Crytek games if you want the higher visual settings. I guess with PC though you can always choose what you want. Gotta love having the options.

I said it before and I'll say it again, whatever the consoles have inside them matter not to PC gaming.

Intel and Nvidia rule in PC land in market share, console hardware won't change that because it never has. It hasn't mattered in the slightest what has been in the consoles the past 20 years because PC always leads from the front and dictates the direction of videogame technology.

Having CELL or XDR memory in PS3, or eDRAM in 360 and a PowerPC C...

Its easy for Nvidia to justify the cost of the ultra end cards because of their very nature, exclusive, ultra end.

The customer will find you. That customer is simply a very wealthy person who says they want the fastest card no matter what, and it doesn't matter how much it costs really or how long it'll be worth the $1000. As soon as something better comes out they'll just toss the old in the bin and buy the new.

People buy those 'faster'...

Far as the article indicates the 780ti will be a performance match for the R9 290x. It'll cost about the same at $650 as the 780 will be reduced in price.

AMD clearly pushed the R9 290x reference clocks to the limit so they could try to just edge out edge out Titan. Maybe it was a PR move to claim fastest GPU, I don't know.

What I do know is that means it overclocks poorly to the tune of about 10 percent core speed typically. It also heats up like a s...

People seem to forget Titan came out 5 months ago, it isn't a constant high production card that Nvidia expected to sell hundreds of thousands of like GTX760s or 770s. Initially they only said they would make around 10k, they probably made more but not loads and loads more.

They did however sell a fair few at top whack, probably made a decent profit off each card and laid claim to the throne of the fastest single card the past 5 months. AMD had absolutely no reply whatsoe...

The cloud is useless for game install storage.

The whole point of storing the data locally like installing a game onto the HDD is to speed access to the game data for the console. So rather than having maybe 30mb/s read from the bluray drive off a game disc you get 80mb/s read from the HDD.

A really fast internet connection like 100meg fibre can do what, 12.5mb/s? Its just not practical anytime soon with the amount of data involved and the implications of hav...

It doesn't even look all that in the supposed 1080p PS4 videos posted on IGN.

Not that it'll matter to the people that buy it, but it doesn't look remotely 'next gen'

Yup. For years I have been very aware that when my PC is on especially in the winter it generates enough heat to make the smaller room it is in very toasty.

I have good insulation so in the winter I hardly ever have the heat on when I'm in the room, an hour of using the computer and TV puts out enough thermal watts to sit there in a T shirt...

Pretty sweet when you have to use the computer, heater and computer combined- now thats efficient!

PC version for me.

The game's graphics were never brilliant, it isn't remotely the best looking game around. But the gameplay looks fun.

Even on PC with all the bells and whistles it'll probably be fairly meh visually but thats not so much the point for Titanfall.

720p on a source engined game though....man thats pretty sucky if true.
