Ya ya ya ya oh yaaaaaaaa ich liebe dich!
German is such a good language for this lol
Ryse on PC probably looks better. There have been arguments over which looks better on the consoles (Order v Ryse) let alone the PC version of the game which unquestionably is miles ahead of Xbox One on decent hardware.
It's one thing at 900p on Xbox One, another @ 4k on PC which is more than 5 times the resolution The Order runs at, to be fair.
So yeah, pointless arguing what looks better on PC, PC is more powerful, by a long long way, so don't bring...
This is a PC game first and foremost, clearly. Get it on PC because it's designed for PC.
If you don't have that choice, PS4 is obviously preferable.
But there is just sooooooo much tearing on console as soon as you are not racing in ideal circumstances.
By the looks of it you should probably cap the racing field rather than throw all the cars on track together.
The developer could have probably done with toning it do...
So this review is saying that this unapologetically sim racer is ummm...too much like a sim?
I don't review cheese and then criticise it for tasting too much like cheese. I also don't send someone who dislikes cheese to go review cheese. Slight problem with the person assigned here to review this game I think.
In the case of WatchDogs they may be allowed some leeway, simply because they showed the game nearly 18 months before the new consoles arrived and their hardware was not precisely fixed at that point.
They overestimated what Sony and Microsoft would deliver. However they have had no excuses for a while now so there should be no more downgradeatons from them.
Any major downgrades from games shown since late 2013 are entirely their fault.
The biggest advantage is probably the number of CPU draw calls. Draw calls means putting different things into a frame, lots of variety of objects and geometry. PC always had a problem with this aspect. Artists want to put lots of variety in there.
This is one area where consoles have always had the edge, because they are close to the metal you could always spam loads of draw calls and not worry about slowing your engine down, do it on a PC game running on older DirectX versi...
Maybe he is writing that from 2018? :p
The 'options' shown aren't really quality options as PC gamers know it. They are just customisation options. Do you want mud or rain on the camera, do you want lens flare or bloom or haze etc very low performance impact. 'Visual FX' they are labelled.
They aren't really exactly like PC graphics quality settings. They just give the ability to turn off things that some players may dislike or distract them. Bit like film grain filters or motion blur on ot...
It's been 18 months.
PS4 is faster. The games prove it. On a raft, a great long list of multiplatform titles PS4 outperforms Xbox One consistently.
Ones in the past, the present and a bunch more of ones announced and upcoming with higher resolutions. How many more examples do you need?
Just....
Get over it. PS4 is faster. It's been ages. Accept it. Move past it. Stop bringing it up. Enjoy Xbox One's exclusives and...
Not quite. The graphs suggest you need a GTX780 for that level of performance maxed out.
However, if you overclock it a bunch then it'll certainly get a lot closer though! A lot of GTX770 with decent coolers can boost very close to stock GTX780 performance.
Or dropping one setting down a notch will bring it to that level. I suggest the shadows down one notch, difference in quality is small, performance gain is good.
The exe download for the game and then the 350mb+ odd day one patch are very slow to download, as everyone is hitting it hard right now.
Rockstar are trolling. Yes, you can preload 60GB a week before, but you'll have to wait at least an hour again right now because the download on day one is running at like 50kb/s Doh!
Trolololol :-(
I'm sure it'll ease off for anyone reading this later though in a couple hours.

"Back in 2013, Microsoft claimed that they could improve Xbox One’s processing power several times more using the cloud."
Yes they did largely as a reaction to the news PS4 was the more powerful machine, they were ridiculed, and 18 months later.....we have seen nothing in real games yet.
Unsurprising.
"Are they selling Grand Theft Auto V for $28?"
One retailer is, yes. See my post below.
"Have a look at Steam and tell me how much Grand Theft Auto V is to prebook."
GTA5 pre order:

89.99 Brazilian reals = ~$28, ~£18 you can pay with Paypal. Game is not region locked. Does not require a VPN. The Steam version requires the Rockstar social club account/DRM anyway.

I just hope if it is 1080p on Xbox One, it isn't at the cost of performance in the finished game. Solid 60FPS is more important than trying to squeeze full on 1080p. I'm sure I saw screen tearing in this video, and that means frame rate drops as well.
This isn't the final thing, so if they can tidy that up along with any of the AI issues mentioned in the video I'm confident this will be a very smart racer. But let's see.
Strange how Maxis dies just as Cities: Skylines arrives.
Sim City was the birth of this studio, and the death of it signals the passing of the torch to another tiny little developer and new city building classic.
It's a sad time, but when one door closes another opens goes the saying, and it seems to be true. RIP Maxis.
Awesome game. This is going to be remembered as one of the all time classic PC strategy games I can tell, just from the enthusiasm of the mod community this early.
The basic game works and runs impressively well. Usually new games need just a bunch of patches to get to an acceptable level for me which is a sad state of the industry. But this is great already.
The fact the video is 'only' in 1080p but it's still obvious the PC version is way out in front means this will be the ultimate version to buy and keep for me.
Even if you can only play it in 1080p now, you can replay it much higher resolutions later when you have better hardware. This is one of my favourite things about PC.
All I will say is go and find out how much the Windows 10 upgrade will cost for Windows 7 and 8 users.
You might be pleasantly surprised.
When these consoles were launched, there was talk about how they would have a shorter lifespan than the previous machines, which were 7 and 8 years old.
They exceeded the usual expected lifespan of 5 years for various reasons not least because of the worldwide recession making expensive new machines somewhat unpalatable. However I wouldn't be surprised if PS4 and Xbox One were replaced not long after they were 5 years old with new hardware.
Not least beca...
