Intel should stick to making microprocessors and not Apple/Nazi dictatorial regimes. Not welcome news.
It's going on a 2 year cycle for Horizon and Motorsport. Horizon 3 is due later this year then, usually around September.
I loved Horizon 2. It was amazing on Xbox One, best arcade racer this generation IMO. Certainly the most content, depth and pretty decent online too. One of the few current gen games you can race Porsches in as well, which is a bit of a coup. 918 is beast in it.
Can't wait for a 3rd, but hopefully a different environment to keep it...
The game looks so good on PC your face will melt just like this when you crank it up to ultra and 4K
i5 6500 should be more than good enough for this. It's an ok port. It's highly demanding, much more so than I expected. I think it is partly because the game still needs a bit of work on PC drivers etc, and also partly because Microsoft probably threw a lot of money and tech help at this game when it became exclusive to Xbox One.
So it's very, very highly optimised on Xbox One, and more demanding therefore on PC than most other Xbox One ported games we have seen s...
I just hope that the PC version can match what was shown nearly 3 years ago by the time the game finally arrives.
If it does than I can forgive Ubisoft as the game is not technically downgraded then, only adjusted and lowered to work on consoles.
Oh, and if your machine pushes 50 percent more pixels on countless multiplatform titles like PS4 does compared to Xbox One then you don't usually say it's 'a little bit' more powerful.
It's inevitable that there will be a price drop for the consoles once their main APU goes onto the 14nm process. For a start the chips will require a total redesign (in form, but not function) to make the most of the latest FinFET process.
Which takes time however it almost certainly will happen in 2016, but not until at least the middle of the year, but more like autumn in reality. Priority capacity for that node will go to Nvidia and AMD's PC graphics parts, they wi...
I wouldn't complain about the time between GT releases if they actually improved in leaps and bounds, but sadly the series has hardly evolved at all in over a decade now.
GT7 or whatever it may be has to improve hugely on what GT6 was, because there were so many below par critical aspects of that game that were not up to the level I expected, a bar set by many other titles.
I'm a huge GT fan, and broke several PlayStations just playing the first two g...
Pretty sure being a paid professional console game developer your job description includes you know, making sure the game runs properly on the platform it is developed for....Seems a lot of them these days apparently missed this point
Just bought a cheap portable 2TB drive in time for this sort of overload, should be plenty for many years I think. I figure if the average size of retail games is ~35GB (which I feel is generous when you see a list of file sizes) accounting for patches and potential DLC you have room for at least 50 full size titles plus some to spare. I would likely delete games before I hit that.
Best time to pick one up with the sales on. I paid £52 for a WD ultra, but you can often f...
Not enough Metal Gear Solid 1998 for my likings. MGSV is a fine, fine, fine game. But it's not the best.
Any top 100 list that dares exclude this game is not worth the internet paper it isn't written on
Also, Halo 3 makes it quite high baffingly over Halo CE. Begone list!
Almost as good as a high end PC?
No.....almost as good as mid range PC.
This is a 5 year old PC game originally. I remember first getting into it way back in 2011 and it had already been out best part of a year in other regions. Long time ago. It has evolved visually over the years but I have little doubt it would be rather different if it was released as a new PC title today.
That's not exactly accurate, not least because the R9 290X doesn't cost that much. Try $300. Besides this, it's not a very good card for what it does cost anyway. GTX970 is in reality a better buy. I do suspect Nvidia have an advantage on this game too, they have new drivers for MGSV specifically.
Performance on PC is generally pretty excellent. It's actually possible to get 1080/60 maxed with on a GTX680 with virtually no drops. A 970 with a modest OC like ma...
It was pretty fantastic I must say. Forza 5 was a real disappointment because it was so stripped back and rushed for launch. Forza 6 clearly corrects this, it's the most full featured and rounded circuit racer I have seen to date.
This coming from a guy that worshipped Gran Turismo as a series from the very first time I played it in 1998. The bar is now incredibly high.
The reason the Monaro did so well in reviews was it's price point for what you got, the performance and power. It was a bargain.
They are still rather rare today in the U.K, a bit of a Q car. If you drive them carefully they can get surprisingly good economy on runs because of the very long gearing (easily over 30mpg from a 6 litre V8!) and there are a lot of amazing tuning options.
Yeah, it's definitely a great setup for mobile. Best played in like 15-20 minute spurts and then left for a few hours, to pop back and level up your dwellers and training or check on your explorers.
It's massive and has to be external powered. Always prefer portable drives that will run off the USB 3.0 power supply and tuck around the back. Xbox One games can be big but 2TB portable drives can be had for about £55-£60 these days. That would generally be enough for at least 35 large install games + DLC and whatnot.
Pretty much any emulation ever is always work in progress. Stability and performance is the aim.
It'll just keep getting more and more refined if Microsoft keep working on it and spending time with it. They have indicated they do indeed have every intention of having a full time team on this.
Give it 18 months and most games will probably work and work pretty well.
Should have just given her a plate balanced on top of her fingers. There, she's a beach waiter. Problem solved.
They changed it so much it barely looks like Gears of War.
GoW has a very particular style and visual filter where you can just pick out a GoW screenshot easily. Soft glowing lighting on surfaces, worn but almost shiny relics.
They have changed it so much it could be any generic post apocalyptic shooter. This new shot for example 3942d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment
Rise of the Tomb Raider appeared on PC less than 3 months after the Xbox One version. That was probably Xbox one's best exclusive last year too.
It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Microsoft end up releasing many of their biggest titles on PC either at the same time or shortly after.
How great that would be for PC gamers, and would actually represent Microsoft's support of the platform they so often talk about but rarely deliver.
