I dont want 32 x AA though. I want fully fledged high resolution DX11 games with astounding effects and maybe 4 x AA. A console port with identical assets and 32 x AA is still only a smoother console game, besides, the higher the resolution the less AA you actually need. 1920 x 1080 with 2x looks ridiculously better than 1280 x 720 with 4x.
In other words i think i can definitively say most people would settle for crysis visuals and 4 x AA than a console port like AC2 with 32 x...
Rather have H2Overdrive ported from arcade. This is hydro thunder by name only, no original developers involved unlike H2Overdrive.
Problem is that hard drives typically dont get cheaper and cheaper and cheaper, they just get bigger for the same money and smaller drives get phased out.
The second thing i dont understand is why anyone really needs a 300GB HDD for 360, Its not like you can store your own video content or whatever on the drive, and even installing games probably works out average of 5Gb a game. PS3 on the other hand benefits greatly from a big drive as among other things you can dump HD video...

Dumbed down for console. The fact the game has been massively scaled back is one clue. The original port to 360 was disastrous, i cant say im surprised it was going to be cut back so the sequel worked properly on 360
PS3 + PC = Gaming nirvana.
Pahahaha that is brutal, especially for those who it seems were on video chat at the time too! Smile, you are on trojan-cam....
There is soooooooo much hidden in this game its really fantastic, the map is massive and by that i mean it makes san andreas look small. So much to see and do
Small static screens rarely tell the story of how the game looks on the screen. Pc version looks much more detailed with high resolutions, runs much smoother, less aliasing, better shadows and water and draw distance and shader effects, better physics and particles.
All these things combine on a 1920 x 1080 screen to make the Pc version look considerably superior. The resolution alone is usually enough, call of duty on Pc looks massively more detailed than the console versions ...
The best bit is its not even all that demanding. It scales really well and runs great. Kudos to the ballsy decision to make it DX10 only as well, its about time Pc gaming was forced forwards
No lol. Microsoft want 240 points for the privilege to 'own' future arcade titles and play them as you please (even if you already bought the exact SAME game off arcade marketplace in the past!!)
Alternatively they want 40 points per credit per game.
Because paying 240 points for a license or 40 points a pop every ancient game isnt problem enough??
Ridiculous rip off. Once upon a time there were these compilations for consoles where you bought a whole bunch of ancient arcade titles 50 in 1 or whatever for 20 quid if that floated your boat. MAME exists. Mobile phone emulation exists. There is about a zillion ways to play these games on a zillion platforms, none of them involve blowing 2 quid each or 35 pence a pop to play th...
250 watts is still a LOT for a single GPU card. 25 percent more than a 5870. Want SLI? Inform your nearest powerstation. Can it be 25 percent faster than 5870?
Most telling however is the GTX470- 215W means the path is surely blocked to a dual GPU card that consumes under 300w to compete against 5970 based on this high end architecture. Nvidia may not regain the overall performance crown for some time....
Gabe Newell's less attractive brother. Who ate all the pies?
Cant build your own machine? You can even get cheap prebuilt machines these days. Check this baby out:

420 pounds for a quad core, 1TB HDD, 4Gb memory and a 4850. Keyboard and mouse included! Lol. Vista home is maybe the only major let down, but for the price of a prebuilt machine the specs are quite impressive and need...
Massively fast in far cry 2 compared to the radeons if true. Slightly better minimum in Dirt 2 with a larger gap comparing averages would suggest immature drivers but a lot of brute performance
I think the next gen consoles will stick to single GPU designs, and they usually launch with slightly less than cutting edge GPU parts. They will get hot but i dont think we are going to see a dual GPU console for the next gen- those are the PC cards that usually push the limits. When PS3 launched RSX was already dated and actually shrunk from its design, 7800 was originally a 110nm GPU and required little more power than a 6800, but by the time it was inside PS3 it has been taken down to 90n...
From what i have heard the GTX480 has 480 cores, meaning nvidia have HAD to have disabled some cores to improve yields or to get under the 300w limit, earlier slides have shown fermi is designed as 512 core part. The board also now is known to have a TDP of at least 250w which is absolutely insane, further pointing to the issues reported being true. This sort of crazy cooler is required to dissipate the mad heat these things will knock out.
GTX480 needs to be a LOT faster than ...
Ubisoft just need more time to include even further SCREW YOU messages to Pc gamers
You can have a sort of shadow map AA. High end game engines have soft shadow features often by averaging multiple shadow map values so you get 'anti aliased' soft edges. Games that dont really make this work well end up with that odd and rather nasty shimmering 'stippled' shadow dithering effect though, i would rather have stencil shadows TBH.
32 x AA isnt to do with DX11 no i didnt suggest that. Its just a feature nvidia touted. My point was that its hardly preferable to the ...
