Bond 23 is on indefinite hold until MGM can sort themselves out financially. It was supposed to be out around the time as this game has been dated (late 2010), Which might suggest to me that this is potentially an error, or that the bond game of the film that is shelved will be knocked out with an alternate title and developer created story/levels

Not even in the same category as Red Dead Redemption, Super mario galaxy 2, Mass effect 2, God of War 3 or Heavy rain for me. Be lucky to remain in my top 10 by the end of this year with GT5, Little big planet 2, Mafia 2, Crysis 2, Reach, Last guardian if it arrives, Starcraft 2, Fable 3 etc etc

Great year for gamers. Swamped with class titles

Dont see it. A casual new in the market is not going to be sucked in by a 300 dollar price tag for a bundle when wii is under 200.

If you already bought a 360 then you already have certain expectations from the type of games you want to play on it. Natal will challenge those conventions, and for this price, I dont see it working

Agrees. What hype?

I thought i made it pretty clear the distinction between GPU hardware acceleration and software engines on the consoles. Yes, the difference is obvious, but the fact of the matter is when it comes to the word physx, there is no real distinction. PS3 and 360, wii even use physx, just not the GPU hardware accelerated version as seen on nvidia's CUDA GPU's. Ps3 uses a special version that uses SPE performance likewise as hardware acceleration because of the similarities of CELL and a GPU...

PS3 is Pc like, but it depends where you stand. The Cpu is of course nothing like your standard x86, 360's cpu might seem more conventional but it doesnt really relate much more to an X86 chip either- its still a PowerPC.

They probably refer more to the architecture of the machine as a whole- split memory, dedicated CPU bus to the system memory, seperated graphics memory to the GPU. RSX is a geforce 7, torn straight off nvidia's parts shelf. Standard hard drive, int...

This site always annoys me. But only because the pc versions are never compared with filters, clearly again no AA on the pc versions. Secondly, its retarded using a 5:4 res like 1280 x 1024 against 16:9 ones when everyone knows that 1280 x 720 is gonna be selectable in the game too.

PS3 does have Physx capabilities. PS3 has a physx SDK, has for a while now. So does 360. The consoles still often use middleware physics engines, even though we might see physx as meaning only hardware GPU acceleration now, it still really counts if a console game uses nvidia's SDK. In this case, PS3 has its physx SDK optimised for use on CELL, not RSX. Plus that list is never kept up to date properly. Since when was haze on 360?

Sometimes the latency was just a bit steep, because the framerate did drop to the low twenties on occasion. Certainly just being able to polish the game engine so it will run a more solid 30 frames a second would improve the consistancy

Football manager. When i finally weaned myself off it, i realised i looked like tom hanks after 4 years in castaway. Completely eats your time

We have to see what the true latency also is. Local gaming can put up with a little more lag but when you go online it will only increase the response time beyond usefulness. Potentially could make a lot of titles unplayable

If it really does cost that much.....Would mean at least 100 pounds in the uk. Possibly more. This is also with NO full games of course, you arent gonna be playing your collection on this all of a sudden.

But the real problem here could be that wii/motion plus + wii sports/resort can be had for under 200 dollars- now. If there is a price cut later this year(nintendo have denied it however), then microsoft could easily be asking nearly as much for this camera and a game as n...

I completely agree. Little Big Planet is very much a similar user content driven experience. These games get better over time, much much better. Which is why i suppose LBP sales were villified as 'poor' and a 'flop' when it launched.

To date, it has sold over 3 million copies.

The report states that a 490 would be a 375w part. Which frankly, is absurd. Thats a two 8 pin PCIE board - well out of PCIE spec. It would be a 'halo' part, nvidia probably wouldnt make more than a couple thousand at most and most people's power supplies wouldnt support it. The heat too, would be absolutely kerrazy. It would be nothing more than another limited run ego driven impractical product.

The other things are that 470s are already simply 480s that miss ...

Yes but only for a short while, for old times sakes. I remember playing them at work, as there was nothing else to do and it infuriated my boss something chronic. Ahhhhhhhhhhh good times :-)

No offence to people who already own an LG tv, but frankly, they arent the first marque i would look to when i want to buy a new HDTV. Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer, Samsung. Yes. LG? errr.....

"This is an important inflection point in our business because it allows us to accelerate our commitment to enhance premium online services to the entire robust EA SPORTS online community," said Peter Moore

Dont you just hate PR BS speak? Did that statement actually explain anything? It just reads like a load of codswallop to me. People already stump up their subscription for xbox live, and although EA demanded that they use their own servers, they have now effect...

I believe they are classing them as the claims of distances and thus area, but distance as measured by the game or spoken by the developer. I dont think its inch perfect accurate to be honest but it does seem reasonably representative.

The size of the map is surely relative to the speed a player is capable of crossing it i suppose, oblivion for example you have to walk or ride everywhere until you have discovered the locations before you can fast travel, which makes the gam...

Im a massive massive GT fan. Even i however will be beyond excited when the box is in my hands. When that day comes, and it WILL come this year, i may wet myself. :-)

Of course its not the only big game out this year but its almost certainly THE biggest name returning after an extended absence. Its the halo of PS3, except its even bigger than halo, believe it or not.

Crysis 2 on Pc will do as well TBH. With a new graphics card though...lol
