And yeah Major_tom, he obviously doesn't own a PS3 - he just created a free account, that or he obviously doesn't WANT to get the most out of his PS3 and hasn't bought any games within the past 6 or 7 months for it, since he has no trophies.

Ok, half way through the game, over 7 hours of game time online - i'm going to give the game a 9.5 if i follow the industry's current messed up way of reviewing games.
A better comparison would be uncharted 2 vs gears 2 - but uncharted 2 isn't out yet so..

I'm playing the game while on N4G, i had the beta for a month so i can make a pretty safe judgement on that front.

You know, we all were praising EA for bringing out new games with mirrors edge and dead space, but it seems they plan on milking dead space - you know, already in talks about dead space 2, dead space on the wii etc.

Seriously though, i wasn't comparing it to OF2 - i was simply giving my thoughts on killzone 2 as i think it is a contender for FPS of 09. If you don't want people talking about a question that is open to debate then DONT PUT IT IN THE TITLE.

Sure, it is one of the best FPS's on a console - but FPS games have been at CoD4's level on PC for years.
I'm not off-topic, the question in the title is "Best FPS of 09" - i'm talking about a contender for that title.
I have killzone 2, i'm online right now - the multiplayer is the best FPS i've seen on a console, story mode is good - not amazing, but still pretty good.

Both the PS3 and 360 controllers have a problem that is unbelievably stupid - problems that are hard to understand how they even thought about keeping them on there.
For the 360, it is the terrible dpad
For the PS3, it is the shape of the triggers
It is in the firmware, but because of things like copyright and the fact the devs all program their games in different ways they most likely can't make it universal.
But it is there, in the firmware for the devs to enable and configure to their game.
This is one amazing feature that is built into the PS3's operating system that many dev's don't use, i really don't get why they don't use it - it is all already there done for them, they just need to configure it to their needs.
In terms of the PS3 vs 360, sony is playing catch up - hard to deny that.
In terms of the games industry, sony is in a much higher position than microsoft at the moment.
What you need to remember is that in japan, most of these people bought 360's for those few JRPG's they have been bringing out, so ofcourse they are going to buy them straight away.
