""Killzone 2 is arguably the most important release in the short history of the PlayStation 3."
I'm getting sick of hearing this now.. first it was metal gear, then littlebigplanet now killzone 2.
The fact is, the playstation brand is not about 1 or 2 games, it is about a whole variety of games.
I still think it is a fad, just a very big one.. It'll pass over eventually.
Mostly fair review imo.
I can't even bring myself to complete the single player campaign, i find it so boring.
However, i think the multiplayer is really well done, i always get a feeling of halo when i'm playing it, minus the floaty gameplay.
I'm with IGN on this game (again for the most part) when they say the multiplayer is brilliant.
You can actually install SF4 on the PS3 too (The data that is needed).
Go into the options menu and there is an optional 2gb install.
I'd rather be able to play the game with a decent dpad :P
I still bought the PS3 version, mainly for controls.
I can use either my PS3 controller or my USB saturn pads, both better than the 360 controller for fighting games.
I'm not a really hardcore SF fan, but i have played it for a few years casually so i don't want an arcade stick.
In a way i wish i did buy GTA4 for 360 instead of PS3, but at the moment - i'm happy with SF4, killzone 2 and halo wars when they come out (got SF4).
I'll probably get it in a few months.
Must be the amount of hoops you have to jump through to get online :P
Err no, i don't agree with that.
MGO is, in my opinion (Minus the stupid ID system) one of the best online games on the current gen of consoles.
Oh my god.. i love MGO..
I love how this only becomes a problem when it comes to killzone 2. And don't tell me to read the article, i did.
Good thing.
I was in the online beta and the pacing of the game was just right for the type of gameplay.
The cover system would of made the game too slow, it is a much, much quicker game online, like they said.
PC gaming isn't dead, but it is slowly making its way into console gaming.
Think about it for a second before you disagree, look at how much consoles have evolved over the years and compare each generation of consoles to the PC platform and you might see it.
You know, i don't like the halo franchise at all. I think it is really overrated, but i really enjoyed the halo wars demo and probably will buy it, i think this game will be underrated.
Nah, the water in the two games are so very different. I actually think the water in killzone 2 looks rather naff whereas the water in resistance 2 looks just strange :\
Why did they use a screenshot from the E3 2007 build of killzone 2? :|
Game launching, please.
No.
Why? Because sony's inhouse devs get alot more time than multiplatform dev's.
That is the main reason for complaints, time.
Nice to see LittleBigPlanet still up there ;)
Err, no.
