I'm a hardcore MGS fanboy and i didn't think there was anything wrong with MGS4, it may of been a little different from the rest but they wanted to make it more accessible for other people as it previously wasn't.
I'm glad they did, more people got sucked into this amazingly epic franchise.
It is my best game of this generation, it is one of the best games i have ever played.
Adoption rate is over 400% higher than what DVD was, i know its to be expected that it would be higher than what DVD was because of the times we live in, but it is still doing very well.
Has returned to me about home, i can't see myself using it all the time but maybe a few times a week.

Thats because your average wii customer does not think about games when they are buying it, they think about the fact you can stand infront of your tv wagging a stick around pretending you're having fun for a month before they finally realise that there really isn't much to it.

Well maybe thats a little harsh coming from me, they have been trying hard this year - i think they do alot just don't shout about it like Microsoft does.
I mean they had the 360 beaten in total sales in europe Q1 08 which is a great achievement on its own, i wonder what the lead is now?

Yes it might, but like i said below - they would be foolish to even bother with this. They are and could easily use blu-ray, at this moment it would be the sensible thing to do if they were thinking about adding another bigger more capable format to their console.
Blu-ray is getting cheaper to produce, it will soon be the industry standard and is recognized in most places, it will be much easier and cheaper to produce than this.
With the blu-ray adoption rate being 400% higher than what DVD was at the same point in its life, then id say it isn't flop.
