There is plenty of other formats that are much better than blu-ray, just none of them were as practical and cheap as blu-ray, yes it may seem expensive now but it wasn't any more expensive than DVD was all those years ago.
Not to mention it was all the big players in the media industry that developed it so they obviously had the power to push it forward.
Then you'd know that you need to install that game, seriously - i'm kind of used to the loading on that game but it would be so much better if i didn't have to wait that 6 or 7 seconds everytime i want to move out of the town i'm in (which is alot when you're doing question)

Its nothing to do with sony, its the developers. If Other developers can deliver games with no technical problems what-so-ever on the ps3 then why can't these developers take some time and start testing their stuff before they release it.

Is still the only bond game i've been able to enjoy, imo that game revolutionised multiplayer gaming.
Name one first or second party title that performs as bad as you say the 3rd party ones.
Sony need to provide more support for the 3rd party devs because they clearly know how to make games for their own console.

Well i guess i worded it wrong then, it freezes up but its for like a second or so.
I've been playing fable 2 for probably over 35 hours now and i havnt' come across any glitches.
Really needs it, it does freeze up alot when you're running through different enviroments and the load times are horrible.
MGS4 hit 1.3m first day, whats your point? LBP still hasnt been released in europe and i think the confusion of the delay meant that the sales were effected, not making excuses but it could be true.
But i'm not trying to get into any fights over sales figures, i was just correcting the guy who said sony didnt own a franchise that wasnt as big as halo or gears of war, when they quite clearly do.

Gran turismo has sold over 50million games, halo has sold 20 million Gear of war has only sold just over 3million games so far.

I think its more the fact that microsoft seem to be set on just getting exclusive DLC and some timed exclusivity on games instead of building up their first party studios.
The playstation brand is huge? Because the playstations in the previous gens have not only won the console war, but absolutely dominated them.
That will keep me <3ing the playstation.
But any DLC will have to be downloading from the US store.
Games that are developed with the PS3 in mind and the PS3 only far surpass those of what are developed on the 360 in terms of graphics and overall quality, MGS4, Uncharted, WipEout HD to name a few.
On my 360 and ps3, they look identical on my tv i had to stop and focus in one spot to notice a difference - even then it wasn't huge.
But i prefer playing it with my ps3 controller and PS3 is getting exclusive DLC, something i think this game will need.

To be honest, its more than likely that won't even go into mass production - there was a format that unveiled just after blu-ray won the format war that in theory held more than blu-ray and was alot cheaper to make than blu-ray, it was supposedly ready to go into production.
There have been format and there will be formats much better than blu-ray, but like i said - in the end that doesn't really matter when you have basically every big "player" backing it in the indust...
