My gears 2 pre order after playing the demo for this, i'll still be getting gears 2 just not straight away. Maybe at the end of november with Resistance 2 and socom.

Not to mention Home is supposed to come into open beta later this year and all the playstation network and general playstation updates we've had and great sales.
Now who said 2008 wasn't the year of the PS3? I know we've had some bad moments - but most of them didn't effect the ps3 that much and have mostly been forgotten about already.

the "WOW" factor is still there in Gears 2, you know since the main concept and the gameplay was all there in gears 1.
It'll still be a great game, just won't wow the reviewers that much because they've seen most of it before.
I'm sure the game will be great, i don't really listen to review scores when i'm deciding on buying a game but i just cancelled my pre order for this game now because it won't be THAT new - it'll be a better game but i'd rather have something new like mirrors edge, i'm still getting gears 2 though, just not on release.
Mirrors edge demo is really that good :P
Its more aimed at specific content people make, you know if someone made this huge very complicated contraption they could sell it for all the hard work they put into it, the calculator for example.

I'm delaying gears 2 for this, i'll get that at the end of the month with resistance 2 and socom, i'll stick with LBP, Fable 2 and Mirrors edge (ps3).
Especially with the exclusive DLC the ps3 version is getting, I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS DEMO!
Only there to show that the 360 is cheap, most people would go buy the premium package.

Fable 2, the load times on that game are horrible - not to mention the time it takes for some of the textures to fully load.

They didn't want bad press for a game that is supposed to be appealing to everyone.
Even with socom never working properly, i think its a much better game than CoD4 and CoD5. You can disagree with me obviously because its my opinion.
CoD4 has a nerfed hitbox system that makes shooting people to easy, hitting people is so easy, when i first played cod4 the first thing i thought was "Aiming is a thing of the past, eh?" especially after playing css.
That type of cover system has been around alot longer than gears has.
Bring that release date forward.
Isn't owned by microsoft, they just own publishing rights to it. Epic own the game.
The jump from this gen to the next will be as big as it was from last gen to this one.
Aslong as i enjoy playing it, why would i care? Whatever faults this guy found they certainly have not effected me at all.
The official playstation headset is amazingly good, if they package that with the ps3 then we'll be sorted :D
Anyway, i'd complain about PSN if i actually used any of the extra features on xbox live, not to mention i much prefer the playstation store UI and the unique content, love the whole new UI's for account management and all, it is all starting to come together.
But like i said, till i start using the extra features i get on xbox live then i'll start complainin...
