Like the 360 and PS3 don't have their own shovelware. Dare I bring up Kinect (and Microsoft continued focus on it) and Move?
The Wii had good games. And it was a vastly cheaper console. The lack of graphical power is irrelevant at that point. If you didn't like it then you probably were not the target audience.
@Hicken
Maybe not, but Nintendo saved the home console market with the NES and changed the market as we know it.
Some do. Though the same two or three guys who go and disagree with every comment that looks at things factually seem to think differently.
@BitbyDeath
The idea is to pick a source that seems more credible.
I've seen more people treat this new rumor as fact as oppose to the quotes from companies like EA, Vigil and THQ suggesting that it's either on par or stronger than current HD hardware. One anonymous source should not be enough to discredit the bigger names.
@ozzywazzy
Somebody's insecure. So somebody likes the Wii. So what? I'm not going to get on your case for liking something else.
Even then, dark-hollow only said he wanted a Pokemon MMO. Why is that such a problem to you?
Oh joy. Another one of these "doom and gloom" articles.
Say what you will. The industry can do whatever it has to to prosper. I am NEVER using an Apple device or an android as a dedicated gaming device. I'm more than content with the core devices that the other guys provide.
I know there is some content on these devices that are quality, but it simply will not satisfy a core gamer in the long term. Also with things like the Nintendo eShop, PSN s...
Did you visit their offices or something? How do you figure something like that?
Hm. Suddenly that Pokemon MMO rumor that sprung up eons ago holds a tad bit more water...
How did the Zelda and Japanese garden E3 demos look "no better than the PS3 and 360"? Looked a lot better if you ask me.
Wiiboys? Really?
An anonymous source versus THQ, EA, Vigil, Team Ninja and more saying it's either on par or more powerful and this one source claims otherwise and you think it's factual?
Get real.
While it wasn't the best game ever made, how was Epic Mickey not a major title?
So when an article saying the Wii U is weaker than the 360/PS3 comes out it's fact but when an article saying the 360 will require an online connection at all times it's an April Fool's prank...
As far as we know, Wii U won't do anything like that. Go figure.
I'm a big time gamer, and when I got my third 360, I was given a Kinect for free. I haven't touched it since I first synced the thing. The only use it's seen since was when a couple friends asked if they could play Dance Central. That was a year ago.
Kinect has some small features yes. But for any gamer with even a little concern for what they spend their money on, $100 for a Kinect just isn't worth it.
Damn it. The anticipation... I want to know what they're working on.
This is madness!
...madness?
Really. I'm a core gamer and I support the Wii and I intend to support the Wii U. Before I have the "fanboy" accusation thrown at me, I would also like to relay the fact that I own a 360, PS3, a sizable library for both of those platforms and about 30 games on PC.
Yeah, I don't buy it. No proof and the sources have little to nothing in regards to Nintendo other than GTAV *might* be under development for the platform.
Sega lost tons of money due to bad marketing and money losses on ever console since the Genesis. How the hell are Nintendo going to follow suit if their business practice is almost entirely the opposite?
