Ever play Pac-Man Vs.? As a ghost you have limited range of view. If Pac-Man gets a power pellet and you turn blue, it's both awesome and horrifying because you don't know if Pac-Man will pop out of a corner and eat your blue ass.
Since this minigame seems to follow Pac-Man Vs. the most closely, it wouldn't surprise me that someone actually said the same thing.
Which was saved by the NES. That was the point of this video.
He didn't say it was right. He said it was the developer's right. There's a difference in the context. The developers are making a creative decision to make their horror games into more action-y titles. That's their decision and they can do that if they want to whether the fans like it or not.
And then you have games like Amnesia and apparently ZombiU that keep it scary.
While I don't disagree that the headline is flamebait, I can't help but notice the interesting between the comments for an article like this and one that would be more directed toward Nintendo in a similar manner.
Um... where do I even begin?
Whether you *believe* the PS3 produces better graphics means next to nothing. If it winds up having better specs (which chances are it will) then its officially better hardware. We just don't know whether the margin is large or minimal.
Assassin's Creed III and Black Ops 2 are NEW 3rd party games. And what the hell do you mean looks worse?

I reckon any family with kids who like to play CoD. Besides, the more new 3rd party support it gets, the better.
And core Nintendo fans too. Like myself lol.

Could you PLEASE do some research before you comment? Oh, and doing a bonus cut is not nearly as bad as Sony laying off 10,000 people.

I think the Wii U will find its audience. It may struggle at first but given some time I think it will sell more strongly. My reasoning for it is that a lot of core gamers don't feel the launch window is strong, but we know some good Nintendo core experiences are on the way.
Smash Bros. is in development, Retro Studios and Monolith are both working on something. So we'll see. I think the Wii U is in such a unique position that no one can really predict what will happe...
Smart idea, yeah. I don't reckon Nintendo would go for it though. They seem adamant to finding a happy middle ground for both casual and core gamers. With this in mind, I don't expect there to be any special bundles outside of something with Super Mario Bros. U or Nintendo Land (if they distribute that game on a disc).
You mean by fixing all of the problems people had with it in the first place?
On what grounds do you judge SmartGlass as a good tablet and Wii U's controller as a bad one? First of all, you've played with neither. The SmartGlass doesn't even have buttons; how the hell can it be used as an appropriate and viable control scheme for any 360 game that isn't Halo Wars?
Yes I would want to play games on the Wii U tablet; wanna know why? Because of the funny things on the sides called, sticks, buttons, a d-pad and these cool inventions on the ...
Apparently a Mario game is no good unless its a military shooter simulator. And replace the Super Mario name with anything that counts as a new IP.
@bobtheimpaler
Considering that the console is rendering (yes, RENDERING) the same world onto three different screens at the same time, I don't think simple shortcuts would achieve that result. I love how you totally dodged the question by saying "Oh they're not using any new CPU and they cut corners lawl." That kind of answer tells me nothing. If it's on par with current generation HD consoles, why is it able to render the imagery three times over?
I was upset that they showed off nothing for the core audience outside of old ports and Pikmin 3. Big difference there, buddy.
I argued before that complaining about a lack of Smash Bros. was stupid since the game has only barely started pre-production.
Maybe now people will shut the fuck up about its absence at E3.
@bobtheimpaler
How does current generation hardware project those kinds of graphics and imagery three times over on a TV and two different controller screens? Nintendo has even gone on record to say that no game in the launch window is using more than the 50% of the Wii U's power. On par, my ass. It's stronger; we just don't know by how much.
Actually the real clowns are the ones who are incapable in understanding and respecting why people enjoy c...
So in other words SmartGlass is a touch device with no buttons that works over several pieces of hardware that I don't care about. That doesn't even play games. Awesome. Tell the Microsoft executive who hired you to give you a raise.
Hey wise guy, how about you read both of our comments? Neither of us ever mentioned Vita/PS3 integration. Now how about you stay on topic next time?
Edit: As for your half-assed argument regarding Sony Smash Bros., it's still a viable point. I don't care how good or bad the game turns out to be. You CANNOT say it isn't a rip off of a game that Nintendo made over a decade ago. I'm not even saying I won't play it or that it's going to be a bad game. But ...
For an entire year? Dang... you must REALLY like Ratchet and Sly.
I thought SmartGlass was supposed to be the Wii U killer.
