"The Sly Collection, ICO/SOTC Collections and GOW Origins Collection were more than done right imo."
Lo and behold, I owned all of those a single generation ago on the PS2. So no, I didn't need them.
I'm speculating. I'm not Nintendo, therefor I don't have any answers. However, I believe that if Nintendo has more to show AND they failed to show much of their online network at E3, then they're probably withholding something that sets their network apart from the competition in some way.
Again, speculation. And fortunately for my argument, anything you can say at this point is speculation as well.
Some neat ideas in there. That said, I don't think there's any "saving" that needs to be done at least until the Wii U comes out.
To put it simply, we don't need them. They're just nice to have if done properly. Halo Anniversary and Star Fox 64 3D are, in my opinion great HD remakes. Most of the 'remakes' on the PS3 are more or less glorified ports with Trophies, not that that's a bad thing.
I really think if you're going to do an HD remake, make sure the game doesn't still look like a PS2 game, like Jak and Daxter and Prince of Persia. Make them look brand new like Halo and ...
Not really. Do you want a Toy Story movie that's rated R? No? Good. I don't want a rated M Zelda.
The only explanation I can think of is that whatever they're not showing is one of the supposedly many things they didn't want getting copied by their competition.
If true, let's hope it's big stuff, eh?
I think that's what they're trying to market it as; a zombie survival horror game that actually involves survival horror. Resident Evil certainly does not fit that description anymore and even Dead Space is now sacrificing those elements in favor of more coop/action elements.
Here's what they need to focus on; online playability. It shouldn't be a ridiculous lag fest to get a bunch of friends together to play Smash Bros. And while we're at it, interaction (though I'm not worried about this since some of the early promotional videos showed voice chat and video chat for Wii U).
Either way, Ghost Recon Online, Mass Effect 3 and Assassin's Creed III are all on Wii U and last time I checked they all have online multiplayer. So as of...
It's a damn shame that people don't seem to read these previews. They're actually pretty interesting.
I see no reason why it would need to. The entire structure of Nintendo's success is based on the company doing things differently from its competition. That said, as long as the online is far better in structure (like the 3DS when compared to the Wii) then I'll be happy as a fan.
For those who only game on one Sony/Microsoft system, probably not.
Don't forget, there's some good third party stuff on there (contrary to popular belief).
No More Heroes, Muramasa: Demon Blade and House of the Dead: Overkill were all awesome.
EDIT: Oh, and Xenoblade Chronicles. Which was amazing.
Ehh, you may want to read the full story...
Then it's really your loss in the end. Don't count on either Last Story or Xenoblade getting ported because Nintendo published those games. If you want them that badly, you can either get a Wii or Wii U and play them.
If not then, oh well.
Thank you. Bubble up for being sensible.
Because the only ones who play Nintendo consoles/games are 12 year old Japanese girls. Thanks for the stereotype, buddy.
@DivineAssault
If gamers like you existed in the 80's, the entire industry would have gone belly-up eons ago. And not even the NES could have saved it.
@bothebo
Batman Arkham City and Assassin's Creed III are seven hours?
The sad thing about the bulk of your comments is they're opinions as well. Also, newsflash buddy, Nintendo are not providing the third party software (outside of anything they themselves are publishing like Ninja Gaiden III).
I reckon they'll announce newer third party support given a little time.
Jeez, you're just as bad as Psycho. Please stop posting the same idiotic comment in each article.
WE GET IT. You want a HDD blah, blah blah. Move along.
Why get upset about any of those things?
You can supply your own HDD of any size, you probably have a lot of devices that play DVD and why would Nintendo support their competition's format?
Not unless they market the balls out of it to casual gamers. Because goodness knows core gamers are not into this one. I'd personally like to play it, but I'm not willing to spend $50 on a mini-game compilation.
