I can see what they're saying. They're trying to appeal to the core and the casual at the same time.
Depends on the game. I imagine it would relinquish the need to pause a game to switch weapons. Also based on the footage it looks incredibly beneficial to the new Aliens game.
If the answer is yes then why don't all gamers just convert to PC?
I like nice graphics on my console like anyone else, but I'm not going to throw out my wallet for a game to look photo-realistic. Fuck that noise; substance > realism.
I think it would be smarter for Nintendo to hire another developer to make a game of that nature. Nintendo themselves are not known for that sort of game.
Retro Studios perhaps?
@xDUMPWEEDx
Should I go out on a limb and assume you're trolling? Because that's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
It's just Ebert's opinion. It was hardly an attack as most gamers saw it.
He believes games are not art... okay? Not really a big deal. He's not the only one who thinks that anyway. People in the gaming industry don't see games as art (Hideo Kojima for example).
So at the end of the day, why do people get so angry about Roger Ebert? He's a perfectly respectable film critic who shouldn't have to retract his opinion because, well, it...
@MikeCosgrove
Well is it better than nothing? Sheesh, at least you're getting something. And it's for free. You're not really getting anything else so why get up in arms at this point?
@MikeCosgrove
They're adding things in to make it (hopefully) less vague, they're not changing it.
@andrewf91
I appreciate the apology, but try to understand where the frustration is coming from. The article was trying to argue an opinion, one that I've heard plenty of times before. The problem is that the execution of the article was so unbelievably poor that it ignited some fan rage (at least for me, I can't speak for anyone else).
Again, I'm glad you apologized for the nature of the article as oppose to the opinion (because as you say, a...
A) They're stupid.
B) They're trolls.
C) They didn't read anything aside from the header.
D) All of the above.
Did you even read it? It says the game was successfully ported to Wii U. Meaning it can run Frostbite. DERP.
I stopped at his list of Mario titles.
Super Mario 3D Land
Mario and Sonic at the 2012 Olympic Games
Mario Kart 7
Fortune Street
Mario Party 9
Mario Tennis Open
New Super Mario Bros 2
Luigi’s Mansion 2 (still is embedded with Mario franchise)
New Super Mario Bros U
How the blue hell do you count all of these games as "one in the same?" You listed a 3D platformer, an Olympics themed mini...
Right their faults? The Circle Pad Pro offers optional support to around five games out of the entire library. Right now the only people who really NEED it are left handed players who wish to play Kid Icarus Uprising properly.
A second circle pad would have been nice, but try to remember that would probably jack up the price and it would alienate consumers of the original 3DS.
It's shame, I agree but it's far from the end of the world.
Holy shit. Bubble up for being awesome.
While I can see why people believe it won't be as large scale a success as the Wii was, I doubt it will actually be a failure. It's like saying Sony or Microsoft's next console will fail; the fanbases are too large and loyal at this point.
When it boils down to it you need down-to-earth expectations for anything. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for failure.
I totally see why you have only one bubble.
I really can't believe your comment at all. One because of the screenshots released comparing the two and two because all of the previews I've read have stated exactly the opposite.
No exclusives...?
Kindly do your research sir. The Wii U actually has quite a few exclusives within its launch window.
No arms and legs you say...?
Also Rayman has no arms or legs and he'd still be a great addition.
I never once heard anything like that until around 2009/10. I remember back when the thing was coming out that they wanted to bring in an audience that doesn't conventionally play video games.
