Sakurai has gone on record to say he'll take in more input from his team though. So regardless the development team will have at least a small say in some of the creative development.
This is great news to me since Namco is known for great fighting game balance. Not to mention the potential character roster! Gimme some Nightmare and Lloyd Irving and this'll be a day one purchase for me... not that it wasn't going to be before.
For me, the killer game is Pikmin 3. I'm also interested in ZombiU, P-100 and I want to play Ninja Gaiden III: Razor's Edge and Batman Arkham City on it since I played neither of those two, and I've heard the Wii U versions will be definitive based on the previews I read. Those are all in the launch window, so as far as I'm concerned, I'm satisfied for the first handful of months.
Nothing in the 360's launch made me want a 360. Wound up getting one at some point regardless.
"Yet there are games that have better graphics than Haze and are in fact better games."
Did I ever once argue that? No, I didn't. I simply argued that games with lesser graphics can be better than games with intense graphics.
"If your game is based on realism then your game should have realistic graphics to match."
That never stopped people from enjoying Grand Theft Auto games before IV.
I never said i...
Metroid Prime 1, 2 and 3 were better than Haze. So was The Conduit.
Graphics are HELPFUL. But they are far from essential to gaming. I'm tired of people complaining about graphics. The 360 had weaker tech than the PS3 but overall was the dominant console of the two due to its convenient architecture.
I'm not saying the same will happen to Wii U, but it's far too early to say how the Wii U will fare against future competition. That said, whether or...
It doesn't need to sell the same numbers as the Wii to be successful. If you disagree, just look at its competition.
THIS, THIS AND FUCKIN' THIS.
You sir deserve a bubble.
@richierich
Ironically people have complained about those remedial things. Particularly here on N4G. :/
I'm not sure why the specs matter anyway. If you care about specs, wouldn't it be smarter to just become a PC gamer?
As far as I'm concerned, the Wii U's games look pretty solid right now. That said, I'm curious to see what Wii U games look like down the line when developers understand the hardware better.
Wii U is not a current generation console.
@MiamiACR21
Believe it or not, I know folks who hate touch based cell phones. I myself am one of them since my last one's touch screen become unresponsive.
Also cell phones are not game consoles, let alone dedicated video game consoles for core gamers. Big difference.
Er... you don't have a spec sheet on any of those consoles, do you? Because I'd sure as hell love to see them.
So basically they're the Japanese version of Rare.
Same here. I understand people want multitouch, but why is it essential if you have buttons, sticks and d-pads? Unless people really want the Wii U to be expensive. Which I doubt.
Allow me to argue a couple of things.
1. The controller is a regular controller with a screen in the middle. If you're off-put by the way it looks then that's fine, but I'd suggest giving it a swing before dismissing it altogether.
2. They showed an entire montage of third party games at E3. Yes, most of them are older titles, but a few of them, like Aliens and Assassin's Creed, are new. The Ninja Gaiden game also seems to be looking much bett...
Because 360 gamers really want a device with no buttons. Right.
Also why would you complain about the battery life if you can plug the thing into your console at any given time?
Somebody failed to read the article.
Bigger than you think, apparently.
How does Pikmin 3, 3rd party hardcore titles and Mario count as terrible?
Fuck man, I'm slow! It's hard to multitask when I'm trying to keep up with Microsoft's latest tablet device announcements. Does this mean they'll announce another one next week?
Yeah, I noticed the similarities.
Shame there's no second nub. I reckon that was to keep the user base from being separated. Circle Pad Pro XL anyone?
