So you'll believe it when an anonymous developer says the Wii U is underpowered compared to its competition, but when another anonymous developer says exactly the opposite, it's invalid?
What source did the other anonymous quotes have? They're anonymous; they don't have a source listed. We know nothing about these developers, their resume or anything else about hem other than that they formulated some sort of opinion about the Wii U.

@Skateboard
Ironically Zelda and Mario are not that high on my interest list at present. I'm looking more forward to Watch Dogs, ACIII, Aliens and Pikmin 3 at present.
EDIT: I suppose I would if I had a Vita. It's not of particularly great interest to me since I don't intend to buy a Vita until after more games and a price drop and because I'm already getting ACIII.
I at least give them credit for not making another fucking PS...
Seems reasonable. That's what I do at least. :P
That said I acknowledge that not everyone can/will do that for various reasons. When it boils down to it, it's personal preference.
As for me, I like consoles, particularly on the Sony and Nintendo side. I keep my computer nearby primarily for Steam.
Oh wow. An anonymous developer saying something positive about the Wii U's specs? And look at that! Next to no buzz! That's just typical.
Seriously guys, if you're going to respond to the bad news, at least acknowledge the good stuff that comes with it.
It depends on how you look at it, I suppose. I always felt that they were their own series of games; throwbacks to retro Mario gaming. The fact that the series started on the DS also helps with my reasoning.
However, there's one console release with another one on the way and they're all platformers, so it's understandable why some view the NSMB series as part of the main series. It's a matter of perception, I think.
A positive article on N4g about the Wii U with next to no buzz. How typical.
Watch Dogs? The Last of Us? Heck the Wii has a number of original IPs for the Wii coming out (Last Story and Pandora's Tower).
There are new IPs out there among the sequels; you just need to look for them.
This was very well put together. Kudos.
Not to be snarky, but I think now you understand how I felt about the Vita's launch line up. It had a large number of games, but none of them I really cared for.
The iPad costs how much again?
The hardcore gamers have not been with them since the first Playstation came out. What Nintendo has is their core fanbase who continue to enjoy the Mario titles that most on this website insinuate are the same game over and over.
If I recall correctly, the GCN only sold around 4 million units. Who else but Nintendo fans bought that console?
Don't forget that Nintendo is also a popular brand name for family gaming. So parents will probably get the Wii U fo...
You're aware Epic has not yet confirmed what consoles can or cannot use Unreal 4, right?
There was a quick move/combo setting on the 3DS version of Street Fighter IV that I liked. I'm kind of hoping a similar mechanic is applied to Tekken Tag 2.
Well, to be fair they've survived without that audience during their lower points with the 64 and Gamecube. Even if they did lose the casual crowd (which in some respects they already have) it probably would not be as detrimental as the wording of the article seems to imply.
Well, nice to know the man was misquoted. Again.
EDIT: I expected as much. The Wii U pad's screen is largely unconventional. I'd expect it to be a challenge to develop on.
Well, let's see.
Pikmin 3, Project P-100, ZombiU, Rayman Legends, Tekken Tag 2, Project Cars, Darksiders II, Aliens Colonial Marines and a version of Ninja Gaiden III that supposedly doesn't suck to name a few. And they are all in the launch window.
Apart from Ninja Gaiden all of these games are new.
Some unique games to advertise wouldn't hurt either. I still firmly believe that ports of PS3 games are seriously not going to cut it for the Vita to become a big success.
They're not finished yet? Game development isn't snapping your fingers and having a game ready for the public, you know.
Actually if I have to make a guess, John Lennon, Chuck Norris, Steve Urkle and some anime character's granddad.
The more the merrier, eh? Hopefully third party software won't be in short supply for this one.
