"Co-op...in a Zelda game
NO...just NO"
Four Swords ring any bells? Also the Dead Space argument doesn't fly. The primary complaint about coop in Resident Evil and Dead Space is that having a friend/cooperative companion reduces tension and therefor makes the games less scary. Zelda's not a scary experience.
Besides, Mario Galaxy had some minor cooperative elements, unlike previous 3D Mario games. Whose to say you can't j...
A cubic buttload of awesome, that's what. It's being made by Atlus. That's enough for me.
To be fair, it takes a while for each iteration to come out. Having an HD remake inbetween doesn't seem too awful to me, especially when you consider the Wii's rather stark wait times in terms of software release dates.
To be fair, you're not writing a blog so much as a comment on a public forum. I think the standards are at least slightly different.
The headline made me laugh, actually. The way it's written suggests that the HD Remake detailed the reasons he is not excited. I don't know, does anyone else see that? I just found it rather humorous.
Oh Toon Link, you're so humble! :P
Agreed. I expect a bunch of disagrees for it, but Skyward Sword is honestly my favorite so far. 1:1 sword play was pretty sick, and I loved the story and art style. Majora's Mask is a close second to that.

You're a real piece of work, removing the part of your comment where you told me I shouldn't be here because "this is not a Nintendo article." Yeah, that's real mature. How about next time you be somewhat civil, a little mature and just own up to your dumb mistake?
Honestly, what did you do? Contact an admin? Hacked the website? Whatever. It's sad given that I'm not the only one who remembers it and you honestly thought you...
“I think something like the Wii U often asks you to do something unique, based on a unique interface so that’s something as a gamer I love but it’s something that you don’t want to do half-heartedly as a developer.”
That doesn't sound doubtful at all as far as being able to do it. It sounds more like they don't want to half-ass any potential gamepad functionality.
Hey Crystal Dynamics? I'm no expert but... off-TV play? It certainly wouldn't hu...
It's far too early to say that the Wii U will be victorious. We've seen nothing of the upcoming PS4 and Nextbox and until then there is not much anyone can definitively use to back up the claim that any one console will win this generation.
Would be nice if the complaints were consistently factual. People keep complaining that you're being forced to rebuy the games which is 100% untrue. The transfer is completely free. What you're paying for is an optional upgrade. And it's $1 - $1.50. $.30 if it's part of the Famicom Anniversary sale.

"5 Reasons Wii U’s Virtual Console is Totally Fair"
Right. I'd like to ask when having a preference and isolation became mutually exclusive.
EDIT: Also this article is smack dab in the Wii U section of the site. May want to double check that.
@Manchild
Big deal. He could be a genius in human peace and order; wouldn't necessarily make what he's saying right.
People have a right to complain when something harmless that they enjoy could potentially be threatened by irrational fear and ignorance. Gamers have every right to have their voices be heard by the very people who are supposed to be representing them.
Sometimes it does indeed feel like people demand change for the sake of change as oppose to the betterment of the game. But people seem to ignore that no two Zelda games are one in the same.
Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask have the same engine and graphics style. Would you really be willing to tell me that they're the same game because of that? Because I recall them being VERY different in gameplay and structure.
That's a pretty solid assessment. I've noticed that Nintendo's marketing has kept the casual titles to a minimum. Wii Fit U and Wii Party U are the only games of that nature in the lineup. Everything else is more or less core experiences.
One really neat thing they introduced as far as Miiverse goes is the camera mode in Pikmin 3 and being able to post those pictures on Miiverse. If they did Pokemon Snap 2, or rather any game with first person camera control, they...
I would just say human beings like any other gamer, minus those who simply do it for attention.
I would have thought it was at least a little better because you get to see employees of Nintendo speaking to you as well as game footage being played during the conferences.
@Root
You're joking, right?
Vigil's a pretty awesome dev. I liked both Darksiders and Darksiders II quite a lot; this is just the icing on the cake.
CEOs, lawyers, sometimes even investors are more so to blame for the dumb things we see some corporations do. There are quite a few variables, too many to pin all the blame on just one factor a lot of the time.
If you go by history, they didn't remix or recreate the score of Ocarina of Time in the 3D remake either. But they did with Star Fox 64 3D interestingly enough. Who knows?
