This is stupid. How many of these articles have we had already?
Wii is gen 7.
Wii U is gen 8.
Thats it. Period. End of story.
Even though it came a generation after the Wii.
Works for me. The more content the better on any platform.
GameCube controller is still my personal number 1. Loved playing Melee on that thing. Dual shock is a close second and the Wii U gamepad in third.
My facts are pretty straight actually. I just don't see how removing content from a game makes it a rush job. That happens with every large scale creative project. It's not exactly exclusive to this one game. It happens in movies, TV shows and obviously other video games.
I disagree. Wind Waker is a rather acclaimed Zelda game already, and I've seen some general excitement for the Reborn version. Yoshi Yarn, if also well received will probably give the console a small boost in interest.
But yes, Monolith's RPGS looks pretty freaking sweet and I look forward to seeing more when it is more finished and refined. Now we just need some info on the new Mario, Mario Kart, Zelda and Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem.
I see what you're getting at, but in all honest, would you argue with someone who claims the sky will turn green tomorrow morning?
There are times where the concept of arguing with someone just isn't worth it and I think that's what AdvanceWarsSgt was getting at.
Funny thing, Jim Sterling did a video talking about the big three JRPGs for the Wii and brought up sales figures of other Japanese games on the Wii, and in many instances, like for Muramasa: The Demon Blade (awesome friggin game btw) they actually sold significantly more in the States than in Japan.
There is indeed a market in the West for Japanese games. They just need the right push.
That doesn't surprise me at all. The Last of Us looks pretty intensive as far as PS3 games go. I haven't seen too much of it since the E3 2012 demo, but I remember it being pretty sweet. One of the most impressive aspects I remember was the enemies strategically coming out of cover if they heard your gun was out of ammo. Not to mention the girl (I think her name is Ellie?) was pretty badass when helping you fight off the enemies.
Naughty Dog is seemingly putting toget...
I have to question you there. How was Wind Waker a rush job? It was a brand new rendering style on fairly new tech with an expansive as well as massive over world with huge dungeons and epic boss fights.
I would just like to hear your thoughts as to why you think it was rushed out.
Ah. Sorry about that. It's difficult to tell who is being serious and who isn't when he hate is just as screwy as the humor.
RE4 was not really a problem IMO. It modernized the franchise in a way that was more healthy. RE5 and RE6 are butcherings of what Shinji Mikami accomplished.
I concede, RE4 was less scary because the player was given a degree of power through gun upgrades. But it was still a creepily atmospheric game with controls that were rock solid and QTEs that actually complimented the gameplay. To me at least, RE4 is a fantastic balance between horror and action, much more so than the s...
The thing is those games do experiment to some degree. The overall formula is the same but here's where I see the differences;
Where in Majora's Mask were you sailing across a gigantic ocean map? Where in Mario Galaxy were you cleaning the world and using a water powered jetpack? One could also argue that the Metroid Prime trilogy was to Super Metroid what Super Mario 64 did after Super Mario World.
I never really thought it was that difficult to see....
Ubisoft stated eons ago that porting to the Wii U costs about $1 million.

No one is banking the Wii U's future on the Wind Waker remake (assuming that's what you're specifically alluding to). Nintendo pretty much stated in the direct conference that it's a way to hold fans over while the newest Zelda is coming out.
Virtual Boy sold next to nothing and had no game support. Wii U has already sold 3 million is being supported by both Nintendo and several third parties. That is a terrible comparison.
Yeah. Clearly there's nothing new about that controller. /s
And out from what butt did you pull that? ZombiU has a higher attachment rate than God of War III.
Personally, I'd really like for them to at least finish the current story laid out in RE to RE6. At least provide a conclusion then reboot away.
But then this is Capcom. There isn't much to accept at this point.
Looking at the disagrees on the early comments, it seems the trolls are angry that the Wii U can actually potentially run a new game that looks considerably better than its PS3/360 predecessor.
Also I'm loving the reverse damage control. Yes, let's downplay this good news as much as we can. Like that isn't typical at all. /s
Look think what you want. I thought the graphics in the first trailer looked pretty cool, but was worried they were prerende...
