To be frank, no. Specs don't mean anything for a console since they're basically outdated after a short period of time (compared to PCs anyway).
What matters is the games. Games, games, games and what new ways we get to play them, whether traditionally or in some crazy way that's entirely different.
Lastly, I've said it before. Winning is succeeding; it really doesn't matter who comes in first place. For all we know, BOTH can be big winner...
Man I really hope they dub the movie and the other specials that came out recently. I'm rather tired of Kai.
Try not to mind the disagrees. I've yet to try Unchained Blades, but I really want to. My 3DS is slowly getting me into more Japanese games, particularly RPGs.
Throwin' this out there; please don't approve the article. The post is actually really old. It's a flub up on my part. Sorry for the time wasted everybody. I'll be more careful about that on my next submission. :/
Well actually detractors are the ones comparing it to 7 year old hardware. These guys want to disprove that.
Besides, Call of Duty 2 launched on the 360. That game looks rather dated. Very muddy graphics. Certainly wasn't the peak of the 360's power.
Meanwhile the Wii U is playing high end 360 games at launch. On two screens. With few technical issues primarily brought on by short development time. How does that logically make for a weak platform?
Err, a victory for who exactly? Certainly not for you.
I've said it before, I'll say it again; first place doesn't matter, success does. And right now the big three are all finding success. The 3DS is killing, the PS3 is now outselling the 360 and the 360 is making some nice numbers six years past its launch date DESPITE the first two facts.
@Godchild1020
If I made that argument in reverse, wouldn't you be asking me why I brought up Vita sales to compare to Wii U sales?
Both platforms could be selling faster. A lot faster. Though I would argue the Wii U is at least doing moderately better. It's not exactly like the two are neck and neck.
Isaac was an assist trophy in Brawl. If the rumors about Little Mac are true, then Isaac may wind up being playable in this game.
I'm going to go off on a limb and assume you've never held the Wii U gamepad in your hands? I use that thing for each game I play, and it works just as well as the Pro controller (albeit the new size takes minor adjustment time). So no, I disagree with your sentiment that it is "unplayable" without the Pro controller.
Finally, it's too early to determine if the Wii U is success or failure, but the sales numbers are decent. NeoGAF already posted NPD numbe...
So in other words, your argument is completely subjective. You can't just say "Who gives a shit" to everything when there are some people out there who actually care about features like that. I personally am happy that I can run Netflix on the Wii U screen, and the picture is clearer than how it is on the 3DS.
"People buy a gaming console for games, and last time I checked the Wii U is filled with ports of games that are already on the 360/PS3."
The Wii U gamepad is not a tablet. Not unless you call the DS/3DS/Vita touch screens tablets as well.
Haha, I wouldn't have minded saving money either, but personally I thought KH3D was so good that it was well worth the $40.
It's sort of like when I purchased Portal 2 for PS3 (and inherently Steam as well) and I was astounded that I had paid anything less than $100 for such a well polished game. I guess I'm weird like that lol.
This article was actually pretty insightful and put some things into perspective (for me anyway) while applying some neat predictions and ideas that could be implemented. Overall nice read.
"When the TRUE next gen systems release this year it's going to be done for."
Just like the DS, Wii and 3DS. Oh wait.
I dunno dude, I don't think that's such a bad idea. Of course I'd rather they start with some 3DS game compatibility first and then add DS games to the eShop if they simply must.
I don't know what's more sad; that ANOTHER negative article is getting a lot more buzz than any of the more open or positive articles or that Akuma is getting agrees for another one of his crappy troll comments.
@LOL_WUT
What are you talking about? Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker looked beautiful on the Gamecube and Mario Galaxy and Skyward Sword were among the best looking games on the Wii.
Nintendo doesn't cut corners on software graphics.
@Theyellowflash30
That's a better point, actually. This idiotic sentiment that graphics take priority over gameplay is ludicrous for any gamer. A game can look prettier than a diamond, but ...
Okay, that is actually pretty lame. Thanks for the corner cutting Capcom.
...Alliteration aside, that sentence actually feels really redundant.
Nintendo fans are incapable of critical thinking? Just really?
God I love this community. /sarcasm
EDIT: Okay, let's just ignore the good review scores that Nintendo games generally get, or how successful each one tends to be, or how the entire past generation Nintendo was supported by casual gamers and not just "Nintendo fanboys."
Nope! A good Nintendo game is simply outside the realm of freaking reality.
Serio...
Another one of these?
Wii = Gen 7.
Wii U = Gen 8. That's it. Period.
