Jesus, I can't believe I received 7+ disagrees for that initial comment. This community freaking sucks.
But yeah, the Vita will do better given some time to expand the library. If the Vita can succeed (which I think it will) so can the Wii U. So the stupid doom articles need to stop. this cynical crystal ball BS is stupid, and it's annoying given how it's cluttering up the articles on this site.
How do you know if the downscale is a drastic one?
@Awesome_Gamer
Funny thing about Monolith's history. Once upon a time, they provided a teaser trailer for the first Xenoblade that looked "good, but not great" for a Wii game. Eons later, the trailer for the full experience came out and it was stylistically change and graphically superior to how it looked previously.
The footage we saw in the X trailer, as good as it was, seemed pretty rough. Who is to say it won't see a similar visual upgra...
@Plagasx
I suppose your constant reverse-damage control will have to stop first.
Ironically it's one of the most beloved games in the franchise now, even spawning many more games with the same art style in both the same and different eras in the timeline.
I think saying it's a solid reflection of Miyamoto's mind is an interesting assessment. In the first NES game, Link was a young boy and the entire series was inspired by Miyamoto's childhood. Wind Waker harkens back to that a little by making Link a child in a bright and colorful world. ...
Yes. Thank you. While we're at it, stop any of the ones that are coming out for the Vita as well.
"Iwata: Every gaming hardware has its specialities. There is a timing of hit and miss before the functions can be used fully. We were not able to provide development kits that get out all the power of Wii U until mid of last year. With other gaming consoles firms had 6 to 7 years to experiment but our console has a different balance so it is easy to see who has adapted and who hasn't. However this is something time will heal so we are not too worried."
Well, gee...
Considering DmC's recent success, I wouldn't bet on it.
How is it a far cry? It has a dark and creepy atmosphere with monsters around each corner, not unlike the older games prior to RE4, complete with another kooky story.
And yes, it is much better than RE6.
He never returned to his former greatness, he just barely crawled out of his obscurity. And his next game can either be quite good or really terrible. We don't know yet.
Yeah, nothing at all neat about high end and detailed 3D graphics in a large scale open world game. /s
That's like attempting to ask this community to approach anything with an ounce of respect and objectivity.
Judging by most of the comments here, many of these guys chose to read only the headline and not the article.
That's a tad inaccurate. MANY devs/publishers have produced terrible movie tie-in video games. It's not exclusive to just Activision.
Mine's currently in its base form since the system transfer. I may just homebrew it for fun and use it as a Gamecube. If anyone has any better suggestions, I'm more than open to them.
If Balloon Fighter was anything to go by, this isn't a simple game transfer. They're granting you access to the games again but on the Wii U's shop running off of the Wii U's hardware which is not directly connected to the Wii mode. Notice how neither the gamepad nor the pro controller cannot function in Wii mode? I think it's the same basic principle.
Oh of course. Those are the next few I want to play. I'm just saying this game right here is my number one Vita game right now lol.
This is one of the game's that makes me want a Vita. The unique little world and the way you interact with it really appeals to me.
Should I get a Vita in the near future, this is the first game I'm buying for it, hands down.
Got mine in the mail today. I'm really enjoying the bits about the timeline and all of the artwork.
@BattleAxe
Justify your view by attacking others for theirs. Tell me, do you enjoy using the word "fanboys"?
"I dont how Nintendo fans continue to cling to hope of seeing some truly next-gen looking game on Wii U."
I don't speak for all fans, but I don't think that to the same context that you're suggesting. I just believe that the games will look better and better as the PS3 and 360 become less and less relevant to developers.
"Moreover, the hardware specs arent very "next gen" either. Just look at the specs of PS4/Orbis and Dur...
