How is it great news for 360/PS3 owners other than the confirmation of a release? They're being released in the same month as GTAV and Wind Waker HD. Not to mention they won't get any positive PR from an early Wii U release (unless it turns out the game sucks anyway which is unlikely).
I could be wrong, but I don't see this game being successful sales wise. If that's the case then Ubisoft dug their own graves on this one.
Oh naturally. Blame Nintendo for a decision a third party made. That's not typical of you. /s
My only gripe is that the Wii U version was delayed. I don't mind much that it went multiplatform. The Wii U version is pretty much finished (it was three weeks from being released). Why not just release the Wii U version and then put out the 360/PS3 versions? It makes no sense at all.
That doesn't necessarily make his review "honest," you know.
I'm actually not against this game being on other consoles. In fact, I expected it. But delaying the Wii U version is what pissed me off. Seriously Ubisoft, screw you. I shouldn't have to wait on behalf of the development of ports. The game was due in three weeks so it had to be nearly finished. Seriously, what the hell?
Apple makes multimedia devices, not dedicated gaming devices.
"If you are expecting a super pc at the rumored price of $400 you aren't thinking rationally."
Since when has the majority of this community ever used any rational thinking?
This is the same crowd that insisted on waiting for the Vita port of Resident Evil Revelations. Look how that turned out.
It's, this and more this. Bubble.
Not gonna lie, that one made me chuckle. Good show. Bubble up.
Hopefully it isn't as bad as the first one. In fact if it wasn't for Uwe Boll movies, I'd say that you could only go up from there.
I didn't need Kotaku to tell me this. This was already a highly anticipated Vita game for me. Seriously, the world is so amusingly colorful and rendered. What's not to like about it?
Wait, is that even constitutional? I thought you couldn't put taxes on creative endeavors of that nature. Unless I'm mistaken.
Either way, a tax would not do much outside of piss off many a game customer for having to pay an extra $6 or so however much extra. Kids would still get those games, so if anything, the practice would be counterproductive.
Hey lawmakers? Get your heads out of your asses and start educating people.
@cl1983
Maybe the developer needed to cut back, like THQ did? I'm just saying, it's not outside the realm of reality. I doubt this has anything to do with specs issues.
Since when do Capcom games make up 99.99% of the content in the industry?
Well assuming its true, I hope they do find a fix. This is one of the few cross buy games I actually actively want on the PS3 and hopefully my future Vita.
@TrendyGamers
Well, here's hoping. I'd be quite pleased if they had a fix that soon.
@shackdaddy
My mistake, you're right. Wii U by and large is current gen and the upcoming consoles will be as well, leaving all of the gen 7 consoles as part of the last generation.
If Zelda games were more like Elder Scrolls or any RPG where you make the character from the ground up, then the argument could be made that Link was the player. But Link, especially in newer games, is expressive, thoughtful, reactive. He's his own person. The player just speaks for him in a way. So I sort of see where this article is coming from.
He did a Q&A. Now people are quoting him all over the place.
EDIT: I mean people will take bits and pieces of that and analyze that particular part of it. Which shouldn't happen because if the original interview has been posted, then the quotes should be opinion pieces or counted as duplicates.
To be frank I was excited for this game and I was pretty sure it was going to go multiplat anyway; all that I honestly don't mind. Delaying it like this is a dick move. My enthusiasm has been otherwise shot. I may still get the game, but my priorities have surely been altered at this point. There are other, more exciting games I'm looking forward to (also on multiple platforms) with less shady business practices surrounding them. Seriously, screw Ubisoft.
