I'm not a fond of any of the DS games or Birth By Sleep. I liked 3D and Chain of Memories though.
@Name Last Name
I know what platforms have had Kingdom Hearts games, I said save for the DS and PS2, there has only been a single KH game on each platform.
BOOYAH! I love these guys and their games.
The thing is you have to consider owner preference here. I'm not pretending I don't prefer Nintendo products, quite the opposite. I am itching for the next installment of Mario/Zelda/etc. The Sony franchises don't reach the same bar for me, so when I have LittleBigPlanet on my PS3, I'm not really rushing out to get it on another platform without looking into how much has changed. There's a reason why I didn't by Mario Baseball on the Wii; I felt it didn't change mu...
Simple. They'll pirate them. Because that's the cool way to support the industry! /s
There's only one per platform save for the DS and PS2. How's it being milked when compared to Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty?
At the risk of losing bubbles myself, I do want to say that you did bring up good points about the bubble system. It really is not a great system in that it basically dictates who is allowed to say what and that results in innocent people having bubbles lost simply for disagreeing with others.
I've been accused of being a troll just for having my own point of view. People have even lied to try and make my comments seem destructive and offensive at times and it really both...
That kind of terminology is stupid. It's video games. There is no war of any kind here.
Great hardware doesn't justify a purchase at all if its primary function is to play games. You need games for that justification, and as I said, I require a solid 5 games that I know I want before I make that dive.
LittleBigPlanet 2 I already own, so there isn't very much need for the Vita one. I don't play sports games at all. The RPG lineup seems promising, but those are games I'd more willing to check out after their prices have gone down; they're not m...
Stick to commenting on Sony articles. You'll lose less bubbles that way.
Anyway, the Wii U, if anything is an "in between" console as far as specs go. Criterion already proved the platform is stronger than the previous generation of consoles. By just how much, who can say?
I have no fantasies about it being on par with PS4, the latter has four times the RAM among a souped up GPU/CPU that effectively make it easy to develop games on. However, sug...
The VRAM isn't the only factor though. I'd also like to know if the GPU and CPU are using only a certain percentage of their full potential as well.
@PLASTICA-MAN
I suppose that's true, but the console comes out in less than a year. Exactly what sort of upgrades could they even want to make at this point? The PS4 seems particularly future proof as far as specs go; I'm not sure what else they could really add to it at this point.
I don't think the Wii U is on par with the PS4 at all, but I don't think it's as far behind as people will have you believe. I don't think anyone with any sense expected the Wii U to be on par, let alone stronger. But there is some sufficient juice in that machine; I think Criterion managed to prove that with their port of Need for Speed.
EDIT: I wanted to add that I think some games on the PS4 will look astonishing, exclusives especially will look better than...
It's amazing just how much this system managed to turn itself around. From "doomed flop" to roaring success. Hopefully the Wii U can do a similar turn-around from its January sales. Honestly I think Nintendo will be fine this year. They did things without a great deal of planning and their new platforms' initial performance suffered a bit, but in the long run I think they will be just fine.
Pretty much all of the games I expected to be there. The latest hot hits and some of the smaller but still popular stuff.
Yeah man, people are insecure indeed. Especially when they block you after engaging in a debate. That crap just doesn't make any sense.
@Hicken
Because that was the part to which I related the most. I'm indifferent on not having seen the console, but the price certainly concerns me. I'm not willing to spend more than $400 on anything that is specifically designed to play video games.
The earlier portion of your comment you were being somewhat intelligent, the last paragraph was nothing short of asinine, you troll.
That's a really neat concept. Too bad it's not real. I wouldn't mind double dipping for a Wii U version.
"in comparison to the Wii"
So was the 360, PS3, DS and 3DS. What is your point?
That is an AWESOME idea. I'd really like to see a game like that too.
@Root
I call bull. This community typically lambastes Pachter and very few actually side with him. So why is it people only start agreeing with him on Nintendo related Pachter articles? Not a lot of it in this one in particular, but in some of the previous ones I've seen multiple accounts of it.
Now if you want to try to say the hatred is stronger toward Sony, look no further than every single PS4 article released where almost every comment is embellished...
The New Super Mario Bros. series can do just fine as physical games. NSMBU was successful, was it not? They're even providing an entirely new DLC campaign with new levels and from what I understand it's a single player alternative to NSMBU's cooperatively centric gameplay.
