You know, I appreciate that it's a Director's Cut and they are saying it's the best console version (I mean heck, I still haven't played this game) so I might pick it up, but I still say getting a newer game like Tomb Raider would have been more beneficial.
Well, thank you too! lol I might just get it from Best Buy then haha.
Well duh. Of course it's about money. It's a business! If the Wii U's current userbase are not picking up games then obviously third parties will be hesitant. No matter how much you may like Nintendo or their current system, you would not want your company to lose a boatload of money for a game that will not be purchased.
Huh. Thanks for the heads up. May just get it through there.
Did they not acknowledge the Wii U's hardware issues during the recent Nintendo Directs? That's why the April update is coming.
I think Nintendo is aware that doing what the competition is doing is not a successful move. The GCN sold the least out of all of their consoles and that was a "regular" console, in line with what the PS2 and Xbox were doing.
The GCN, like the Wii and now the Wii U, had little 3rd party support and slanted libraries...
I assume you meant for full retail downloads? I'm sure they will reduce download times with the April update. That said, it took about fifteen minutes for me to download Sonic All-Stars Racing and another fifteen to install. Pretty slow, I will admit but hardly abysmal.
lol I'm not Shantae. But she's the best. Hope the next game comes out soon.
Aside from Wii Music, what other bad games did he make? Also what shows did he screw up on stage? If you're talking about Skyward Sword, there's not much he can do if the Wii remote/sensor bar is not working properly.
This one is its own story, like the original Lego Island games.
Wow, you summed up my thoughts and took the words right out of my mouth to a tee. And yes. Perhaps you should write a blog.
"Nintendo is redoing their franchises as they always do."
There is only one NSMB game per platform and there is only one existing remake of a Zelda game with another still in development. Granted Nintendo produces sequels to older franchise, but I fail to see a problem with that since those franchises have been doing well for the better part of over two decades. Not to mention that, at least as a fan, I see each iteration as something familiar but also fresh. If you...
It's amazing how things have changed over the years. I remember the text issue for both Dead Rising and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. Many people online demanded patches for those versions of the games.
Now it's "shut up and buy an HDTV." Not that I disagree. If you're buying better hardware that is in HD, you may as well get an HD TV while you're at it.
I expected Star Fox at last year's E3. I'm not letting myself have any expectations at all. That way if they screw up, I won't care and if they do well then I'll enjoy myself.
Nintendo's E3 shows are too unpredictable. We go from awesome to crap and back again and that kind of inconsistency drives me nuts.
@Erimgard
Believe it or not, someone asked Reggie why that game was absent and he said that if he had so much as menti...
"You mean like Nintendo's been doing forever? Changing the controller isn't going to work more than once."
You cannot tell me Super Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy are the same game or meet the same sort of monotonous standard as Call of Duty.
You're a sensible individual from your blog posts. You can't possibly be trying to tell me that Nintendo is somehow doing less when they are simply doing something differently from the other two....
@GreenRanger_
lol I actually DO say positive things about Sony and my opinion is apparently invalid anyway!
Has it really? This game has no buzz around it. I wasn't aware that their were ANY reviews.
I imagine they believe it's the excuse of which the internet would be most accepting. It's a common belief that the Wii U is just on par with the 360/PS3 when in reality the Wii U just has no marketing and currently is not being purchased by many.
Besides, I have to wonder who in their right mind believes a device that supports Unreal Engine 4 is actually just on par with seven year old hardware that do not support that engine at all.
Can you do HD with sprite based game of that nature? I would imagine doing HD remakes of 64/GCN games was more feasible.
That's feasible, yeah. Though I'm going by what the trends have been as of late. Every port released prior to this one was at full price and not well optimized on Wii U.
Being lectured by a troll again. Yippie. Only on N4G.
EDIT: I really don't see how what I said was so unreasonable or off the wall. All I said was Nintendo has acknowledged some of the issues with the Wii U's hardware and is making some effort to rectify them.
Not to mention, that my argument about Nintendo doing different things from the other two is a sound for the simple fact that if they were to do EXACTLY what Sony and Microsoft are doing, then n...
