I disagree with your zero, but I actually played the game from start to finish, instead of getting upset at the game's negatives, and immediately condemning it, which is not a fair way to score any game.
This game is difficult to review, and it has been given over inflated scores from most of the professional game reviewers, many who seemed to ignore the majority of bugs and flaws. This must be the same EA effect that we see with games like Sims 3 (console version), a g...
I could love this game a lot if not for the bugs and the cut and paste overuse of maps. These two things kill an otherwise wonderful game. At the same time the game had moments that were so heartwarming and moments that were totally heartbreaking. I am on the fence about a score for this game. If I was reviewing today I would give it a much lower score than 8.5, but if they patch the game I think this is a perfect good score.
I am starting to wonder if Bioware is losing it's edge or have they simply lost their way under EA's mission statement: So what if the fan's will be disappointed, rush it out anyway. Let's see how many fools will buy it on name value alone? If they complain ignore them and start rushing out the next game and the next DLC. What the DLC is only worth a a buck or two, well we can't have that, so let's charge more, the fools will pay for it.
I hope that ...
"Greatest" RPG Yet??? From SquareEnix??? ROFL - somehow I can't take this title seriously. Nice dream though, I wish for a comeback, but I am doubtful.
And the only game that would make fans stand up and take notice is a new FFVII game, and we know that is simply never going to happen, because SquareEnix doesn't have it in them.
The contest is all about FPS? It would be more fun if this was a contest with questions about gaming in general. Maybe next time.
I am not a fan of the point system, and I do agree that it seems overly complicated to Microsoft's benefit. On the other hand, I have passed on games due to not having enough points on hand and not wanting to refill my points, so it also works against them sometimes. It is something they should rethink, but I won't hold my breath.
I bought an arcade game by accident, but it was totally my own fault. I wanted to download the trial game, but I spaced out and bought the game instead. Total mind-fart and the game sucked, but I only blame myself for not paying attention, I won't try to lay this on MS.
It would be nice if we had the option to get our money back in these rare cases. MS should be able to tell if you have played the game or not, but I suppose that would be expecting too much. It was a les...
I am having trouble getting excited about ME3, because I am still waiting for Bioware to fix the game breaking bugs in DA2.
23 days since they were first alerted to the worst of the bugs, and still no patch.
This being the case I worry that they will rush ME3 out, just as they did with DA2, and ruin what could be a great game.
No pre-order for me, and I will wait until ME3 has been proven to be free of game breaking bugs before I pick it up. ...
I didn't know about the some of these bugs, thanks for the heads up.
I agree that DAO also had bugs, for some reason they didn't bother me this badly.
I suppose it has gotten to the point where the only smart move is to hold off on buying games on release day. If you wait a few weeks all the bugs will be out of the woodwork, and hopefully patched. If everyone did this, perhaps the companies would take notice and try to improve their QC.
I know where you are coming from. I actually considered returning the game, but I am keeping the faith that Bioware will deliver a patch soon as they promised.
One thing I did do was ask Best Buy to do a price match. Since the game is already on sale, I decided I would feel better if I only spent $49 on a broken game instead of $59. They credited me $10 and it did make me feel a little better. : )
Not sure what your point is. Japan has a much lower violent crime rate than many other first world countries.
They need to bring back torture devices for people like this. Hurt a child and you deserve to be hurt 100 times over.
I think it is good for people who have not played the games, but it is bad for the gamer who has already purchased the game, because it lowers the collector value of your game.
Regarding: "And besides if you want to play PS2 games, get a freaking PS2. I mean they are dirty cheap now."
For me it is less about how cheap the PS2 is (I have owned one for years) and more about gaming space. I already have a PS3, a 360, a computer, and a Wii in my living room there really is no room for a PS2 as well. So my PS2 hangs out in the closet because I have no place to put it, and on the rare occasion when I feel like playing a PS2 game I find it a tot...
Regarding: "Anders becoming gay between Awakening and DA2."
What people can't decide to come out of the closet. I totally think this is possible, and thought it was a good change for Anders.
I just posted this on another DA2 thread, but it works here too so:
When I first got this game I hated it. I had made the mistake of judging the game based on my deep love for DAO, and also from reading a lot of negative comments on the internet (mostly here on N4G). It turns out, the game is actually a lot of fun, and half of the stuff I read turned out to be incorrect or exaggerated. It might have been better if it had been called ‘Dragon Age Kirkwood Story’, or somet...

I agree with danielle007, and also wish we could get it on video tape.
I suppose it is a good thing that you are obviously too illiterate to actually get a job creating a game, so we don't need to worry about your bias effecting our games.
Excellent point. Games have portrayed female characters as sex objects for years, but do the same for a male character or add a gay character and suddenly it's wrong. That close-minded thinking is old and needs to stop now if gaming ever wants to be taken seriously.
When I saw this my first thought was, ah finally someone is suing EA for releasing broken games. But if I understood this article correctly they are suing because Madden is too expensive. If that is the case I think a lawsuit is silly. I agree, it's a game, in most cases the value will drop the moment you pop open the wrapper. If you don't like that, don't buy new release games.
On the other hand, if someone were to sue EA (or any other company) for releasing b...
