EA is really pushing their luck with the DLC this time. Having to pay for DLC on day one is really just wrong, and although they have a lot of little gimmicks to give away some free DLC on the Bioware social website, it is a real pain to do a bunch of nonsense (like play a boring facebook game) in order to get DLC that really should have just been included in the game in the first place.
There have been a few reviews. It's getting pretty good reviews so far:

I really hope this game turns out to be great. These days I try not to get my hopes up for any JRPGs, but considering the last good (non-handheld) JRPG I played was Mistwalker's Lost Odyssey I think this one has a lot of potential.
A bit disappointing, I was hoping for a new game on a non-handheld console, and instead we get another port, and worse it is a port of a DS title. Good for those who like handhelds, and I suppose it will do well in Japan though.
I agree with you Jinxstar. A paid gamer reviewer will prefer shorter games but most gamers won't. I am sure even gaming becomes dull when you have to do it in order to make a living. When you are paying for your gaming, and gaming for fun not a paycheck, you want enough game time to justify the $60 price tag.
I avoid paying full price for short games because if we put up with it eventually all games will be 5-6 hours long with tons of over priced DLC tacked on. We wil...
paintsville, do we even need to tell you that you are an ignorant fanboy troll? Nope I didn't think so since your bubbles speak for themselves, now lets sit back and watch you slowly fade yourself away.
Agreed, the fanboy crap on N4G is so tired. It really ruins what could be a good site for gaming news. It is getting hard to find real gaming news hidden within all the fanboy nonsense, and it is bad enough when you see it in a 360/PS3 thread where it is expected, but when you see it in threads of this type it is just wrong.
Nope, Persona games are fun, but someone who finds fun in clicking on links for games they don't personally like just so they can badmouth them to the people who do like them has a screwed up idea of what is fun anyway. Go away trolls.
Persona 3 is a good place to start, but if you have a PS2 I like the P3 FES version better (in fact I have been replaying it these past few weeks and it is just as good the second time around), but both versions are good.
Agreed, although I love Persona, Nocturn needs a follow up.
Neckbear = a person who has no life so they spend time clicking on links for games they do not like just so they can make themselves feel better by leaving dumb comments. I just feel sad for you, and yes we will enjoy it, you should try finding something you enjoy too so that you won't need to find pleasure in acting like an idiot.
I agree with the Patch it later, but what is worse are the broken games that never get patched.
I agree, I really don't like mixing motion control with JRPG, I hope they stick to classic control.
Hey Balt: People who judge others the way you do have serious and very deep issues with themselves. They try to make themselves feel better by putting others down. It isn't healthy at all, so before you go around deciding others have mental health problems you might look into whatever is causing you to be such an rude asshole and get it fixed.
Just goes to show that reviews are not to be trusted.
I didn't hate WKC, it was an okay RPG, but I do wish I hadn't bought it on release day and paid full price for it. It is the only game on this list that I bought, so I can't comment on anything else.
Just as I wouldn't want to see some guy in a banana hammock as an avatar, I also don't need to see sleezy pics of females. If I want that shit I'll go to a porn site. And avatar's like that are one of the reasons that gamers are not taken seriously and are instead looked at like they are all pimple faced nerds who never get laid.
I loved 1 & 2, but felt they dropped the ball on 3 when they decided to cut content in the international version. I still bought 3, but I regreted it. It really spoiled the game for me to have the missing content. Additionally, it really caused international fans to lose respect for the series. Will I buy 4? It depcnds, if they cut content again I will cut this game from my buy list.
I also have this bad habit. I already own tons of games that I have no time to play, but I still find myself purchasing new ones on release day. Actually I think my New Years resolution will be to hold off on buying new releases until I have time to play them, because I often buy something on day one, but by the time I get around to playing it I am kicking myself because it has dropped in price and had I waited I would have saved a lot. So bad!
Um... sure Dark Souls could win 2011 GOTY, but so could any other game that is released this year. At least wait until the game actually gets released before writing these types of articles.
Personally, I think that Demon's Souls was nice, but that is because it was unique. Will Dark Souls also be unique or will it be more of the same with a few tweaks? Until we have it in our hands and see what it is made of it is too early to make a call.
