Not dead, just a bit stagnant. They need to slow down on the ports and handheld games and take some chances. Demon’s Souls is a good example of a game that took a chance and had it pay off.
Personally, I’d love to see a ‘new’ Suikoden but for PS3, with proper HD graphics, or a new Shadow Hearts on PS3. Or how about SquareEnix creates a game that is both beautiful and also fun to play. They do fun to play with Dragon Quest IX and beautiful with Final Fantasy XIII, but why...
Nope, ME3 is the game I am most looking forward to.
And like AntoineDcoolette, I wonder why you spend your time bashing a game you don't even like? It's silly and makes you look like a fool.
You should go leave nice comments on the threads for those E3 games you are so excited about instead. You'll probably feel better about yourself if you stop being so bitter and you might gain some of your bubbles back too.
Perhaps Bioware should have called it Dragon Age: Rise of the Champion or something aside from using a numbered title, and they certainly should have given it more development time, but I do not think that Bioware deserves the hate that people seem to enjoy piling on them.
"They need to work on the STORY and the PARTY INTERACTION, and MIX the two TOGETHER seamlessly. "
In my opinion they did, but I really think that how someone feels about the game will really depend on what they are looking for.
If you are looking for Origins, play Origins again, it certainly warrants multiple playthroughs, but if you are open to a new experience, with the DA flavor, play DA2.
Same with me. I actually loved the game, and I wish the people who hated it would just get over it and move on to another series, because I am actually a bit tired of hearing them bitch about it.
Though I have to say that I am replaying ME2 right now and I think the party conversations in DA2 are actually much better. But I am sure that is a personal preference thing.
Plus, ME2 has no party banter, which is one of the best things about DA2, I loved listening...
Although it is true that you are stuck in Kirkwall, and the free marches surrounding Kirkwall, this really isn't as bad as some of the haters on N4G make it out to be.
The game is 'not' Origins. You need to know that going in, otherwise your expectations will be so overblown that you will immediately feel disappointed.
Regardless of the fact that it is not Origins, DA2 is a good game on its own merits. It isn't a perfect game, but it is far fr...
Considering we all know how well Sony's handling of pirates is working out for them, perhaps you could lighten up on MS, especially since we don't even know if this is a 'real' issue.
I own both systems, and love and hate them both equally, as is warranted. I am okay with both companies doing what they need to do to fight piracy, but if I have to pick which is worse '70 million people losing online access for a month and having their personal informatio...
Yep those Xbox fanboys are dedicated, but so is the Sony fanboy who wastes his freetime spreading Xbox hate on an Xbox thread. At least the guys defending Xbox are spreading love for the system they own.
And yes, I know, Xbox fanboys do it too, but two wrongs don't make a right. ; )
But yeah Steve30x has a point 'if' he had this happen he should do exactly that.
I am perfectly fine listening to honest criticism from people who have actually played the game, and have something intelligent to say about it. Most likely I’ll even agree with what they have to say, since I know the game was not perfect.
But I do have issue with people who are simply haters, and sadly I have seen a lot of that in regards to DA2.
And most of those low meta reviews were haters not real reviews. I feel bad if anyone actually took them serio...
I have a love/hate relationship with DLC. Done right it is a good thing, but most of the time it is not done right. Too often it is overpriced, buggy, pulled straight off the disc in order to charge you again for something you already paid for, or simply worthless crap that does not expand the story in the least.
I am all for good DLC, but I have a bad feeling about this and think SquareEnix would be better off focusing on just getting a few good games out the door.
I wonder how many people who are bashing DA2 actually played the game? Not saying you have not, but I really have to wonder how anyone who played through the entire game, could make comments like 'Cancel the series'.
I agree DA2 is not without flaws, in fact it has a lot of flaws, but that does not make it a bad game. It is different from Origins, and I know that pissed off a lot of Origins fans. But judged on its own merit, DA2 is a really fun game, better than ...
Heck I'm still waiting for the 360 patch to fix all the bugs that ruined Tropico 3, doubt I'll ever see one though, so I'll be passing on this game. I have no faith in Kalypso's quality, so they lost my business.
I'm waiting!!!! Looks around, so far still safe.
@Flashwave_UK
If it isn't your type of game that is fine, but do you really think anyone gives a shit? I can't understand people who have nothing better to do but spread hate for anything that they personally don't have an interest in. As if your opinion is the only thing that matters. No wonder you are nearly bubbleless.
I have both PS3 and 360, and the only change I plan in my gaming habits is a switch to PSN cards instead of CC info. I am not going to play my PS3 less or stop buying games for it just because of this issue. That is just silly.
Good advice, I hope that PS3 users will protect themselves just in case. It seems that a lot of them are too busy trying to make this a fanboy issue and ignoring the risks of having your info compromised.
I totally disagree.
Prior to PSN points cards, which have not been around very long, you had no choice but to use a credit card if you wanted to buy anything from the PSN shop. So I think that anyone who has had a PS3 for a few years and actually buys DLC or games will have been forced to enter their CC in order to do so or simply not use the PSN store.
When you shop anywhere by CC you are trusting a company to value your business enough to keep your inf...
UnwanteDreamz: "Someone sounds judgemental and childish."
Um, and now you are the one who sounds that way. ; ) Interesting how that works.
I agree with the trophies, but CC info stolen is indeed a problem, and anyone who can't see that probably doesn't own a CC. Trust me identity theft is no picnic, been there done that, I still have an alert on my credit to this day.
Additionally when alot of us first signed up for PSN there was no such thing as a PSN card, so it was either enter your info or do not use PSN.
Loving your PS3 to the point of obsession and sticking by Sony is one th...
I own both handhelds, but I don't really enjoy gaming on them.
Dragon Quest IX was fun but a lot of the JRPG's on handhelds either are remakes of old JRPG's or they feel like they are remakes.
And the upcoming JRPGs for Wii... it really is too early to tell. Every time I get my hopes up about a Wii JRPG I end up disappointed when the game doesn't live up to expectations.
