Well gosh heck I'm so sorry if I offended you. I mean I already apologized to the guy above for characterizing it as an emulator when it's not in the strictest of terms, but hey, go right ahead and call me a moron if it makes you feel big.
Next time I'll call it the "Windows API translator for Mac/Linux" and we'll see exactly how many people know what the hell that means.
Wow. Thorough article. We had an Apple II and an Atari 2600 off that list. Eventually we got Intellivision followed by a Sega Master System. Those were the days. I was to young to really remember anything before the Sega, but apparently I rather enjoyed the older consoles as a toddler.
It doesn't emulate the Windows OS. It emulates programs that were made for Windows so you can run them under Linux. Sorry if that was misleading.
And yes, it will definitely run under Yellow Dog.
Lol. That's a good idea. Until someone figures out a way to take full advantage of the RSX under Linux, Wine on a PS3 won't be much good for gaming. Even with RSX there probably wouldn't be enough ram, but I bet you could get Halo 1 for PC running at a choppy framerate. That might raise some eyebrows in Redmond.
Slashdotted/Dugg/Dead.
Here's some links to the source if anyone's interested.

Are Americans really allowed to own AK-47's?
There was an indie game released that featured a paraplegic main character. It was sort of like Tomb Raider in a wheelchair. Unfortunately they didn't include an attack seeing eye dog or nitrous wheelchair boosters or anything.
Yup. I don't deny being jealous of almost every game on that list, but I couldn't care less about that Halo BS. Fable 2 along with the new hardware coming this summer might just make me finally pick up a 360.
All right, that's fair. The voting system would work a lot better if there weren't so many jerks with multiple accounts, but what can you do? People seem to attach their avatar's popularity on meaningless gaming sites to their personal worth so anonymously approving their own stories and upping their bubbles is somehow gratifying to them.
Lol...the internet...
Just some old virgin that used to hang around here. I think he's on myspace or something.
I never saw surfer girl get pulled. Some of her stories reached the top three on the front page. Gamesblow got pulled because he was just some d-bag that worked at Gamestop and liked to think he knew something about the industry. All I'm saying is the rule is kind of subjective in a lot of cases and that's why we have a voting system.
By the way I wasn't the one who disagreed with you up there.
Well we're allowed to post blogs from "industry insiders" like Jaffe and CliffyB right? So if someone claims to be an industry insider like surfer girl or something then it's up to the n4g to decide whether or not the story is relevant. In the case of surfer girl or this particular story n4g seems to have decided that it's relevant and we approved the story. The whole "no blogs" rule is meant to stop people from submitting stupid posts from Joe Nobody about why the wii isn...
Blogs aren't exactly encouraged, but if you think it's worth reading, go for it. Worst case scenario is your story doesn't get approved.
I probably would have hit the animals...
I think it was Treyarch. Activision just publishes the COD games.
@above: Yeah...what you said.
Seriously fork? What is this your third account?
Seriously? That sucks dude. Keep us posted on your progress. Some of us have been waiting for these cards for a long time now. Good luck!
My girlfriend picked up a mid-range Bravia a couple of months ago and it definitely sports and XMB like interface. This is the first Sony HD set I've ever spent any time with so I assumed they'd been using it all along. Now I wouldn't be surprised if they start using it for Sony MP3 players and other electronic devices too.
Jeez, sorry Virus for not having $700 to spend on a 360 and a wii. Guess we can't be friends... :-(
I hate to be "that guy", but was this thing written by an 8 year old? Jesus.
