I was under the impression that our loose copyright laws are causing the hold-up. Studios don't want to make it any easier for us to pirate or something.
Could be the CRTC, I suppose...
Awwww. I wanted Wiebe to get it back. Maybe this will light a fire under his ass.
I tweeted. Felt like a loser for doing it, but what the hell. Free DLC is always nice. By the time the DLCs for Killzone started coming out I had already spent around 60 hours online so I was sort of done with the game. This would be a great way to get back into it.
*crosses fingers*
Dimeford, obviously you never played the video game adaptations of "Forrest Gump", "Of Mice and Men" and "What's eating Gilbert Grape?".
I loves me some Metroid 2d, but they make it sound as though people were complaining about the prime series. Those games were the best thing going on the old Gamecube, imo.
Oh yeah? Well I blame Activision.
Business? And here I thought they came to this decision out of a sense of righteous indignation. I'll never understand this multi-million dollar industry.
*cries*
Lol. Well it's good to set nice high goals for yourself.
Actually there's not a lot happening on the Wii lately that has my interest, but Red steel 2 looks pretty sweet. Then again, Red Steel 1 "looked" sweet and we all know how that turned out. All my best to the devs, though.
I blame Microsoft.
Well I'm not surprised that we need to have at least one disc in there. Just thought maybe you could install, then just leave disc one in the drive. Honestly, I don't think I'll be picking this up for either system, so it doesn't really matter to me.
So if we install this thing, can we avoid disc swapping? Probably not, eh?
Mine too. I was all excited when I got it, but now it mostly collects dust or acts as a portable music player. Nothing against the system, but I feel like gaming on the go just isn't for me. Generally when I want to play a game I'm at home where I have my PS3 and 360. No reason to boot up the old PSP.
That said, I'd love to see another portable GoW game. Chains of Olympus was awesome.
@Blaze: Yeah, I always like EPIC a little better when Rein is speaking on their behalf instead of that loser Cliffy B.
I forgot all about that Stargate game. Wonder how it turned out.
I liked Army of Two as well. Unfortunately nothing's ever good enough for anyone these days. Just ignore them. No point in getting worked up about it.
I'm currently playing through Shadow of Chernobyl with the "complete" mod. It can definitely suck you in for hours if you're not careful, but I'm still not quite sure if I'd call it fun.
This game won't happen, but I bet someone competent does something with the ip eventually. After all the money Take-Two invested I imagine they'll win the legal battle and put some other team to work on a Duke game.
@Montrealien: Holy crap! Carmageddon 2! I loved that game.
Keep hope alive, guys. I don't think Crytek would just let the Timesplitters series up and die like this. Why else would they have invested in Free Radical? They could have just poached all their best talent, but they bought the whole studio instead. Surely the valuable Timesplitters IP had something to do with it.
The closest one to me is actually in another country according to that link. Anyone know if there are any Canadian stores doing midnight launches?
