Exactly what I was thinking. Frankly, I think at least a little bit of the blame here has to fall on the shoulders of these devs. I mean they left EA and immediately turned around and signed with Activision. What did they expect was going to happen? And now some of them might be going back to work with EA again?
Maybe they're just a bunch of wanks who are impossible to work with. Guess it's cooler and easier to blame the guys with the money, but hey, without them nothing wou...
@qface: Fallon has a big geek following. He does lots of gadget/gaming segments on his show. The digg crew seem fond of him too. That said, I'm sure they'd debut their game on Leno or Letterman if they could, but the people who watch Leno aren't likely to care about Gears 3.
Yeah. Heaven forbid they should just drop the price. No, they gotta go and ugly up the covers too.
Oh well. I may finally get LBP.
Oh, I've seen this chick on that show Family Business. Never seen her in action, though.
Yeah, that was a fun little game.
10-12 hours, if I remember correctly. Maybe a bit longer.
I'd say grab it on sale. It was fun while it lasted, but it didn't exactly wow me at any point.
Quick! Remove some features!
It was Marathon. Probably for an arcade re-release. They did the MYTH games a while back, though. Those were fun.
They figure we only play 1 game per year or something? I don't know about you guys, but I just might be able to find room in my schedule for two or three. :p
I'm with you Core. FEAR 1 was lots of fun, but the second one had it beat hands down, imo. It was a bit easy, but the atmosphere was awesome. Scary as hell.
If you spent 70% of your time in a vent, then you really weren't playing the game right.
@1.1: As a huge Mario Kart: Double dash fan, they felt weird to me at first too, but i got used to them after a while and began to appreciate them for what they were. Similar to Mario Kart, but without being a total rip-off. I could get used to that. After all, we already have Kart.
The things that troubled me were the framerate, which is easily fixable before release and the relatively boring tracks. The tracks is the one that still concerns me. I get that they want to leav...
Agreed. I was raving about it in my comment above. That fight with the sumo dude was epic.
That weird square? I was too young to know any better at the time. I did have the fighting stick add-on, though. That was a real pos.
We never had a NES when I was really young. We had a Master System. My earliest memories of gaming are of Black Belt, the original Wonder Boy and Ghost House.
Black Belt was sick.
I confess. I bought a used game today. I don't think I'd be too upset if they took it away, though. Especially if it's going to help the industry to keep turning out kick-arse games.
It would be hard on a lot of 16 year old kids who rely cheap used games to keep them occupied.
Yeah, for some reason I thought the GoW collection was included too. Still a decent amount of stuff in there, but I'm at that age where having a big old Pandora's box model sitting around my apartment would just be really sad.
Lol@whoever disagreed with the guy above. Wtf?
Anyway, if they're doing it in BC, they'll be doing one here in Toronto somewhere. Too bad I work the next day. Just have to tough it out, I guess.
Site's not working for me. It sends me an email, then won't let me login when I go to confirm my account. Maybe they don't like Linux users.

"You reap what you sow"
What about all the guys who never said a damned thing about Heavy Rain or any other PS3 game? What are they reaping?
You guys get pissed off at one or two irritating fanboys, then make it sound like everyone who ever owned a 360 is some PS3 hating wanktard. Surely there are one or two guys out there who just like playing games.
