Actually, this lack of hype will probably work in Home's favor. If you're not hyped, there's not much to be disappointed about. Not saying that Home will be disappointing, but that it will not fall victim to hype like GTA IV did.
Gamepro?
How much do you want to bet that they f*cked up the first contest, and these 2,000 "new" codes are the ones we should have won before, that we might no longer win.
Yeah, but how much better is the 360 selling since its price drop? This increase may mean naught. But still, good to see sales are picking up.
Only at GameStop...
Damn, nevermind then. That was the one key I was holding out for.
F*ckers.
Too bad this isn't the real world. ;)
I've had enough of chasing a beta key around. With rumors that the beta will become public for its final week, I'm going to stop stressing out over getting a key. The only thing I'm still hoping for is a Gamespot code, the lazy bastards.
Good luck to you guys going after these, though.
Crysis, huh? It'll definitly be interesting to see how the PS3 handles a game that is a stretch for even the most high end PCs. If indeed Crytek is working on something, hopefully it matches the graphical quality of Killzone 2. Of course rumors are rumors, but we'll see.
"Online Focus"
I really agree with this. With gaming becoming so online-centric, I feel like I am the only gamer that still enjoys the single player aspect of games more than the online.
Looks like the switching to an American developer did not ruin the game after all, eh? I'll definitly be picking this up later this week.
I damn well hope we're still relevent. I can't imagine a gaming world filled with the likes of the Wii and nothing else.
I swear, the beta will be over by the time they give out the keys.
Looks like I didn't make the IGN one. I'm still holding out for GameSpot, though. They are taking a really long time to get the codes out, though. They promised Monday and that's come and gone.
Oh well, only a couple more weeks until everyone can enjoy the full game.
Did I have to register? Lol, I just entered in the info without registering. Probably too late anyways.
I'm still buying it. I'm a huge fan of the previous game, and as long as it somewhat retains the feel that they had, I think I'll enjoy it. Plus, I need something to keep me occupied until the holidays, and Silent Hill never fails on that front.
No, no. I can very well play them. I may have reworded my comment after you read it. I don't enjoy them as much as I used to. Average playing time for these games used to be at least a few hours a day, give or take depending on how much time I had. Now, I still enjoy them, but I just can't bring myself to play them that much. I guess I'm not a 'hardcore' retro gamer anymore.
I just can't bring myself to enjoy older games as much as I used to. Maybe I'm just a newer, bigger, better kind of person, but I really can't share the author's views (for the most part). I know, however, that I did enjoy these older, or 'retro', games more at one point in time.
Please tell me how Home is vaporware and junk. You obviously have not gotten a chance to use it first hand.
