i think this game should come pre-installed on every PS3 sold. and protected so that it's impossible to delete.

these games alone are more hardcore than anything on any console ever, pretty much. (well ok bullet hell games are a whole other story).
yeah im mostly a PS3 fan and i really gotta man up and admit it.. i am really really afraid of Halo!

i have the same frightened and confused attitude towards this as i have towards something like Wii Play, which is: "why do people keep playing this?!"
some screens look great (nicely detailed character models), some pretty bad (look at environment geometry, looks rather low-poly compared to many games out now).
and i'm not feeling the art style at all.
but then again.. i've never been into Halo, i guess they're not trying to get new fans but rather keeping the current fanbase happy. which is not a bad thing since the series has sh*t tons of fans.
who the hell actually expects detailed, amazing looking games with huge scale to be in 1080p? thats just not doable this gen. sorry.
not even the stunning Wipeout HD can handle true 1080p at all times, it uses a variable resolution dropping below 1080p when the action gets intense (they've talked about the technique themselves and you can find articles).
good thing is i have a 720p tv, so i PREFER devs to not waste processing power for attempting 1080p. IMO it's bett...
nobody bought the good games they published like Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Skate 1/2 and BF:BC.
compared to their old sports franchises those games sold very poorly.
we can only blame ourselves for not supporting them when they actually tried to put out new games and not just cheap rehashes...

Beat Zico took me like what.. 500 tries (laps)? it was ridiculous. i got the EXACT required time, forgot what it was, 38,92 seconds or something like that. got the exact same damn time, and before i got it, i got within 0,01 seconds of it like 10 times... now that's frustrating. i almost lost my mind. and i did lose my mind to Zone Zeus, i just cant get that trophy, i had to give up.

MW2 isnt the only game ever made this gen. a lot of games sell equal or even better on PS3... (worldwide of course, USA only doesnt matter to devs).
so no, sw sales do not stink on PS3. you're just utterly wrong. though i am kinda worried of how Dragon Age did on PS3 worldwide.. if it failed then we probably wont see Mass Effect 2 on PS3 :(
hmm, MW2 selling way more than it deserves in my opinion. the game just isnt all that amazing to be honest.. i play it a lot but most of the time it just p*sses me off. it's addicting yeah, but only because im weak and get excited over meaningless XP or improving my statistics. it feels like it was designed by psychologists to be as addictive to the human brain as possible..
i wish i could stop playing it, because it really isnt as fun as i hoped it would be. it just makes me fee...
good news, means the game will be bigger and hopefully has lots of varied planets to explore. as a PS3-only gamer i'm getting more and more interested in this game.
if it's never coming to PS3, i guess i have to fork some money to finally upgrade my PC. (last time i did that was for HL2 lol). i'll give it a year though, my guess is that we will hear about a PS3 version before 2010 is over :)
trophies are great because they really are a better indicator of skill (look at a friend's gold-to-bronze ratio for example, if he has only a few gold trophies but a 100 bronzes, he's probably not playing games on hard :P).
gotta give props to Microsoft though for coming up with the system and integrating it so well first.
Killzone 3 multiplayer will be mindblowing. all they gotta do is add little improvements here and there and it will be my favorite online shooter ever. KZ2 already gets really close to achieving that, always great fun to play a few matches.
honestly, GOW3 and Bayonetta arent even that similar.
played both demos on my PS3 and really liked both. though GOW3 felt more impressive and surprisingly satisfying to play. (never played a GOW game before heh).
HELL NO to voice chat and friend invites.
the online system is perfect for the game, fits the story and atmosphere exactly like it should. it's NOT a buddy game, you're not supposed to just play it chilling with friends... there's COD and RE5 and countless other multiplayer games for that purpose.
