The Perfect Dark trailer was made before they even knew what the game was even going to be

A trailer is proof of nothing. All the other things you said are preproduction, and may have even come from Marvel, we have no idea how involved they are in the story/setting etc

As an announcement show the TGA is really starting to make some strides. Still an issue with pacing, the middle was a lot of mobile games and things I dont even remember.

As an award show this was their worst showing. Giving Kojima 10 minutes to show off nothing more than a 30 second trailer or Gonzo 5 minutes to show off a poster of chickens while giving Sam Lake 30 seconds to accept an award is pretty terrible. Bad overreaction to Christopher Judge

Astarion's VA really does do a great job in the game. There are a few characters I like the performance of more (Raphael for example) but they are more minor. The whole cast is strong and of the main characters he really probably is the best and most memorable performance

I did want to see Ben Starr win as well but it was a competitive year and I can see why they went with Neil

The categories it won weren't super competitive and Forza at least excelled in its nominated areas

@Crows90

Now that I saw the leaked footage is from a phone, maybe OD is just a mobile game using the cloud to get UE5 graphics, and it isnt coming to consoles at all. Pure speculation, but would explain why they were cryptic about platforms.

As far as Blade, who knows. They made it sound really early in development. might even be a game for the next xbox?

They want every game to be played on every screen. The PS5 isnt a screen

There was a lot of walking in the first one

I dont think they call anything an Xbox exclusive anymore since everything is on PC. My guess is if its says Xbox Game Studios it ain't coming to PS5/Switch

I don't think Kojima will ever not be the director on a Kojima Productions game. He could definitely direct both simultaneously

Calling Blade bottom of the barrel is a little much. Not like its She-Hulk or something

@lelo2play

What? Where did I mention Sony at all? I'm saying your reasoning is flawed. Companies frequently keep unprofitable ventures going if they see a path to future profitability. I never even said GamePass isn't profitable. But pointing to Gamepass and saying "well it still exists so it must be making a profit" is flawed logic

Uber literally made its first ever profit in Q2 2023. Disney+ has never made a profit. Netflix only became profitable 2 years ago. MS is big enough it could keep an unprofitable business going if it saw room for massive growth

@Kornholic

MS can't lie about stuff like this. If they say GamePass is profitable then it is. The only real overhead is licensing fees and marketing. All the infrastructure is basically accounted for as part of being a digital storefront so they can probably put all those costs in a different bucket. Even if it is profitable by $1 they arent lying

Which court documents showed GamePass was losing money? Genuinely curious as I didn't see or hear about those

Every digital storefront except Epic charges a 30% cut. Putting your game in a storefront allows that company to advertise it, create a seperate game page, gives you access to a payment system, customer support, file storage, basically free marketing (game recommendations etc). Many storefronts have community pages and screenshots, gameplay videos, forums, reviews, etc. You get trophy/achievement/badge support, remote play integration, cross-save integration, etc. These storefronts are abl...

The bigger problem is they need to prove how this effects the consumer. Since Epic only takes an 8-10% fee but the prices on Epic vs Steam are the same, how can they prove a lower cut would benefit the consumer at all

I constantly get work emails, work texts, calls, etc. These all interrupt gaming on my phone. A phone clip is bulky and top heavy, though it does work. My phone doesnt fit in a backbone unless I take off the case each time (theyre also $99 and dont have dualsense features). Nothing wrong with having an option to get a dedicated device that is ergonomic and a fully functioning dualsense.

I know I'm one of the few gamers who never games with headphones but I don't q...

True. Hard numbers like numbers sold, revenue generated, etc are pretty unhelpful. We need to know engagement numbers. How many hours of remote play have ps portal users played since release? That's the number that cant be falsified cause it comes directly from Sony itself, and not a conglomerate of retail outlets and market research firms who make fraudulent claims on a daily basis

I really hope I dont need this /s here
