I think open world games are an exception in their defence. 1080p/60fps should probably be standard for fps (close quarters), racing, platformers, and other linear and simplistic games. However, at the end of the generation, I could see 1080p being set aside for a lower res to provide a more impressive game. After all, framerate and resolution aren't everything. I personally enjoy 1080p and really don't care about having 60fps (hardly noticeable in many games). Just saying this now be...
Who's played it?
Yeah the selection isn't as good for sure. They have been spot on, quick, and cheap with everything I've purchased over the years though. I wouldn't go as far as to say it "sucks". Maybe the issue is I'm mostly buying books and they excel in that department.
They are some of my favourite games, but you make a good point. The guy from the second game was just an angry military megalomaniac type guy. The first game did an interesting twist on the villain but even then he was just your typical douche and not that memorable. This villain sounds very interesting based on the history behind him as well as the fact his revenge plot has been 15 years in the making. Here's hoping for converging storylines and not just Uncharted in the past. It would b...
Huge fan of SSHD and Geometry Wars so this is good news. Can't believe it's a freebie too.
Agreed. Considering there are ps3 games that look better than the ps4 version of this game, I think it's safe to say there was an intentional lack of optimization done for the current-gen systems.
That is an excellent point. I noticed that discrepancy and was confused. KZ will throw you a decent campaign that sits around 8 hours whereas the other two will give you inferior campaigns that are lucky to last a quarter of that time. Also, I enjoy KZ single player, but the meat and potatoes is obviously residing in the multiplayer (something reviewers barely touched on and when they did they claimed it was amazing).
Also not sure about the 5.9 for Knack on IGN. They are us...
KZ could be considered somewhat niche, but it is actually more popular than most people give it credit for. KZ2 cleaned up in reviews for the most part. I thought Shadow Fall was going to rake in the 9's but apparently a few sloppy anti-gravity areas and occasionally poor AI (prevalent in every FPS I've played) bring the best looking next-gen game to the level of mediocrity (just under COD nonetheless). I don't know if I can accept this. Guess I'll have to play through the who...
Ya I didn't think there were capitals there. I was just going for consistency with the previous comment. But yeah... the vast majority of rural Canada is only pulling off numbers that barely put dial up to shame (literally cannot find above 10 without exorbitant monthly fees).
Dat wall. Unfortunately I'm the gamer who stares at the water, walls, and floor excessively to the point where the playtime is nearly doubled. This looks like demons souls had a baby with real life. The lighting makes me want to wear shiny armour and look at marble columns!
Yeah man. I've gotten s*** all done in the last week. Anticipation is eating away at my will to be productive.
That's like science fiction compared to what we have here. I have 5 MBPS and it's actually drastically better than my old "high-speed" internet which was probably 1 MBPS
It's actually sleek and very fast. I could see myself using this all the time.
If the price itself does not count as a home run, I'm sure naughty dog's reveal will be huge. I also think both consoles will benefit from multiplat games from the likes of Bethesda and Rockstar.
It's forbes. Then again, it isn't a terrible insult. The majority of people don't buy day one, so whatever concerns they have are pretty arbitrary. I'm sure the people who pick one up though will have more than enough entertainment for the next two or three months.I'm still playing Ni No Kuni, Kingdoms of Amalur, Ico, Dragon's Dogma, and Demons Souls. Need to pick up Into the Nexus and Ascension still as well. I definitely wasn't built for this kind of multitasking...
Go eat a twinkie HolyDuck.
If you worked for two years on something arguably artistic, would you not be upset if some big acne covered deuce came along and dismissed your project as a 50 (a fail in my school)? This number is not only an insult, but since it comes from a reviewer, it has bearing on the public's perception of your work. This is only made into a more severe wound if the low score is unjustified.
The degree of proudness is just through the roof. I think other monkies would be scared though. Hard to say.
Yeah, I think it might be how they redistributed the assets across the PC's parts because my GPU is more than adequate, but my CPU is sub-par to say the least. Then again, maybe my pc is just older and more bloated. Could be part of the problem.
Edit: I really wanted to get into the good content later on because the start of the game/tutorials are really dull, and my friend who plays says it gets addictive after the slow start.
Sick disagree. The game li...
You don't believe this game is a 5 out of 10 right? There might be some people stretching the truth with talks of bribes, but bias is never out of the question (and it applies to all systems). Shadow Fall, for its time, appears to be on par if not better than the PS3's best launch game, Resistance. Wouldn't you agree?
I can relate to you as I rarely buy racing games, but when I see the numbers GT pushes and the amount of consoles and bundles it moves, I can't help but think Forza could have a similar effect for the Xbox. But maybe I'm just being presumptuous about what the Xbox fanbase prefers.
I don't know many people that are into Dead Rising or go out and buy it (I personally enjoy it. It's no L4D, but it's a good time). For this reason, I think the title of system s...
