What is there to catch up on. The features at at parity. If anything one could give a slight edge due to the ps4s sharing features. Beyond that I can only say controllers seem to matter most to fps players. I think it's a bs fanboy argument though since I can destroy with either controller. Also, titanfall is EA so you can play it on ps4 eventually. However, killzone will never wind up on the one and that is looking like something worth experiencing for a shooter fan. Then again, halo is ...

My close friends are getting ps4s, but I do work with a few people that are talking about getting the Xbox one. These same people seem to know next to nothing about the system and almost exclusively play battlefield and call of duty. The one will be successful as this "casual fps" demographic is quite large in North America and the majority of these players simply know the Xbox name and controller and it goes no deeper than that. Only the core gamers seem to fully acknowledge what h...

Because live is a stone fortress? I only have money for one system and I let my opinion guide me (I enjoy a variety of genres and abstract/artistic games. I also prefer a controller with aligned thumb sticks). Getting a ps4 makes the most sense for me. Maybe if I had excessive time and money, I would consider getting a one for halo but I would sooner drift towards getting a nice gaming rig with a controller. My laptops on its last legs and papers need to get done somehow.

The article itself doesn't really contain any fanboyism. It's just a montage of what various fanboys are saying around the Internet and doesn't even go into enough depth to consider things like specs, next-gen exclusives, and the free games that come with ps plus that put a single free sports game to shame. The title here is flamebait for sure though.

Oh and I wouldn't dream of muting the controller speaker. The few times I played a wii, hearing stuff like navi through the controller was one of the major highlights. It's a pretty immersive feature.

Eh apologist applies primarily to microsoft if you're talking about right now or even the last 4/5 years in the gaming world. Sony apologist is more of a 2006/7 thing if it is a thing at all. Oh and people can't comprehend sardonic here. And not because its a silly word for sarcastic that reminds me of sardines but because people are really on their toes to justify their purchase of whichever console they can afford with their allowance. Tyrion could cause a shitstorm on this site.

Battlefield 4 just looks like an expansive cod with more debris flying around. Killzone is starting to look like a more visceral and reality grounded take on halo imo. The class abilities make it more interesting too and I would take those over vehicles any day ( vehicles do get abused a lot in fps games I find).

Did they announce what's happening for people who bought the original collector's? I feel like I heard something about in-game bonus items or something but maybe I'm crazy. Hopefully it's the former.

Only like kart racing games or stuff like wipeout so I couldn't tell you which is better. Personally don't care at all. Enjoy fighting about it though.

This is one of the games that I really want. Definitely picking up a wii u in the future.

Nice comment. I feel like someone tries to sell me on pc gaming a few times a year but its not for me. I love playstation exclusives, the graphics have always been enough to impress, and I just couldn't fathom blowing 1000 on a pc and then more on top just to replicate the comfort of playing on a console (hooking up to the tv and having the controller I prefer. My brother and roommate game on pcs but they're the kind to just sit in a room by themselves and play mmorpgs, mobas, and rts...

Classic lol. There's almost a kind of placebo effect or some pavlov's dogs effect that goes down as soon as you read a certain person's name on n4g. Just seeing that name you know if they're on the right or left end of the spectrum or if they're simply level-headed. It's always nice to see a complete fanboy's name and then be surprised with an enlightening comment. This, unfortunately, was not one of those times.

Psp was decent but I think the vita has far more untapped potential between its OS, improved remote play, the touch screens, dual sticks, BC, etc. currently I can pick one up for $200 and get games like uncharted, wipeout and about 10 others for free as well as all of my ps one classics that I got for free or purchased (ex. 3 of the best ffs, all of the spyros, crashes, and RE's). I can also throw on tactics: war of the lions and one of the disgaea games. All for free. I just grabbed kata...

You have a good point, but most people don't have the time, intellect, or simply can't be bothered (I'm the latter). Oh and you're comparing the price of a single PC part to not just the GPU price of the consoles but the entire consoles. Pretty sure consoles also contain CPU's hard drives, a blu-ray drive, various card slots and ports, fans, a power brick and the console prices also include a top-notch controller which needs to be accounted for. So, your point might stand ...

Really wish Monster Hunter evolved more since the original PS2 release. It just feels like they've been milking it with spin off's and minimal improvements for the last decade. Going nintendo exclusive was probably the nail in the coffin as far as graphical improvements go. Hopefully Deep Down ends up becoming what Monster Hunter never succeeded at being. The original game easily makes my top 20 games list of all time, but the series has become stagnant and needs a next-gen reboot (si...

yeah that's like saying you should never be able to take back any decisions in life you freak lol. I was 16 when I first got my PS3 and now I am 22. I would be lying if I said I have not matured at all and am a completely different person. Especially considering my name is based off of where I got my launch PS3 because it was the very last one in town. It's a nice memory, but we're moving onto a new console and it has been almost a decade. The option to change your name wouldn'...

Shadowfall looks amazing. I kind of wish those guys at guerilla weren't always under so much stress. First delivering upon E3 2005 and now delivering a system seller in time for launch. Then again... KZ2 was a bit better than 3 so maybe they work better under pressure?

Nah the XMB blew the 360 dashboard out of the water in terms of cohesiveness and aesthetics. So much so that MS had to update their interface into more of an XMB style interface (just with a ridiculous amount of ads and a marketplace for every single medium. Why not merge them?). Cannot speak for the Vita but it reminds me vaguely of iOS with bubbles. As for X1 and PS4, only time will tell, but both look like evolutions of the XMB (with inspiration from social media apps). I expect both to co...

It looks pretty cool and Braid was a good time. Whether or not someone blows fish has never affected my willingness to purchase a game.
