Yeah, I though 2.0 was supposed to be more optimized, but my mediocre pc can't play it whereas it could play 1.0. Waiting for the ps4 version to experience it properly :O
Well polygon did single handedly bring other great games down. I'm sure a 50 isn't raising the average. It's like when edge sometimes drops a 6 to an 8 on a game that everyone's giving perfect scores. Don't be so presumptuous if you haven't at least played the game or enjoyed the previous games.
Yeah, it's kind of like taking shelter during the rain. Definitely makes me happy.
Oh, and that's solid cred lol. I'm chilling in northern Ontario (pun intended as the snow is getting intense now).
I've noticed lol. Definitely picking this game up!
The marketplace is simultaneously integrated and separate though on the dashboard. I was never a fan of how they have a marketplace for every medium. It basically makes the dashboard out to be 80% ads and marketplace. You do have some good points though darth. Sony has slowly been finding cohesive ways to throw in ads (e.g. what's new). However, I find this useful because almost half of what is shown is a free game or sale pertaining to plus.
How's that tent treating you?
Highly doubting Ghosts is better than this. What happened to reviewing it with the full multiplayer (the best part of every fps)? Polygon's track record for reviews is garbage. Just go back to their Dance central and Halo 4 reviews in contrast to their TLoU review. The only reviews with credibility (reviewers I've actually heard of) are Destructoid, Gamespot, and Gamesradar. That's 90, 80, and 70. Not nearly as bad as the fanboys would have you believe.
Neither of which look great. Fighting games lose their novelty after a few days (and KI isn't looking to break the mold or even excel in any way). DR3 is more of the same. Probably a fun time, but after playing the game demos at the store I wouldn't hesitate to say Knack (the game everyone discounts) is easily on par. The best launch titles are definitely Killzone and Forza, but that really hinges on whether you like FPS or driving games. As of now I'm broke and can't afford e...
Except Killzone is the only fps with a decent campaign that isn't half-a**ed/completely linear. Also, Killzone isn't modern like BF or COD and the weapons are far less generic. Not to mention it blows all other FPS out of the water in terms of graphics (you would have to be drunk blind to not see that...look at it!). KZ is where the close-quarters FPS is at. PS2/BF4/Destiny are oranges in comparison.
All of them interest me, but KZ and Destiny look like the best out o...
Nope. I'm still waiting on the next Pachter prediction and another developer to go start a beef on twitter. That or a ten page comparison on joystick textures.
Just have to remember to get the right colour now...assuming I forget how to read. Glad white, black, and see-through got boycotted in favour of colours. Now to see what the Greatest Hits/Platinum cases look like. Maybe keep the colour and put a little logo on the case (like with the player choice award for N64 or whatever it was)?
I'm pretty sure I could still pre-order right now to be honest. Canada's inventory is definitely not as proportionately tight as the US's. Even if I didn't pre-order there's always a stray console around at some random store. Problem is I'm broke and barely paying my way through school, so the PS4 is going to have to wait until next year. With luck I can pick it up when Infamous is dropping (although killzone is a must-buy too).
Love it in games, but I can't agree with this guy on real-life winter. Have had way too many life threatening situations due to winter driving. Hell, even walking and slipping on a patch of black ice hurts a lot since you pretty much always land on your tailbone. Either he's not Canadian or he's had way better luck than me lol. It gets crazy up here sometimes...there are days when I just avoid going outside.
I guess exclusives would obviously be able to pull those stats off due to optimization. Pretty sure drive club and the vast majority of exclusive PS3 racers are 1080p and 60fps. I think he just means its good the developers weren't lazy pieces and succumbed to the ESRAM hurdle like infinity ward.
I think it may always be a preference thing, although the DS4 did pull some of my favourite features from the xbox controller (concave joysticks and more weight). Hyped to see how the touchpad plays out for menu and OS navigation as well as the light bar's functions as an indicator and a move peripheral. It's almost here!
Looks cool. I hope multi-coloured consoles do not stay a Japan exclusive this gen. Then again, I'll probably be too impatient and will just have to settle for coloured controllers (very cool as well).
It looks great and previews are positive. I hope both the vita and ps4 games nail it and turn out amazing.
I've been talked into it now. Still a little apprehensive because a lot of people giving it high ratings say its their first mmo. However, I have been watching the development process since the rapture teaser in 2005 and I have trust in yoshi p.
Xi was the best mmorpg if you got into it. Everything was an investment and hinged on your decisions. Definitely a hardcore game (kind of like playing monster hunter end game lol). The game started with far more areas than 40 and there was more original and hidden side quests. The inclusion of a 4th city which acted as a hub and a frozen wasteland region/fortress just for the sake of the first story's ending was amazing. Hopefully xiv can grow to be half as good with expansions and update...
Expected better reviews, but I think it was a combination of the next-gen hype combined with developers rushing to get a foothold in new hardware. High expectations plus less time in a less knowledgeable development environment are not going to help review scores. Expect many low scores the One's launch library as well. Doesn't mean either system is not worth buying or the games are not worth playing.
