Those consistently high scores. Sounds like this is the RPG, and perhaps game, of the year. I've already spent enough though and I'll probably wait for this to drop in price. Also curious to see if other RPGs like the Witcher 3 and Bloodborne trump it because that could effect my decision as well. I also prefer fromsoftware's staggering difficulty to Bioware's staggering amount of speech trees, so that's a factor.
Unreal. I'll take this over more AC Unity news any day of the week. People act like they are getting ripped off because of some bugs, but those people have been getting ripped off every year just like the COD players. There's a reason I only bought COD 4 and AC IV. If people want the best ubisoft game of the year pick up Far Cry 4. Still repetitive, but the gameplay and stealth feel far more polished and the story isn't so convoluted and pointless. Plus the geographic variety, the...
While new games will probably be a focus, Sony has other things going on that people forget about.
One thing that would definitely fit with an anniversary event would be the revealing of their emulation plans for PS1 and PS2. There is no way they will be limiting these games to PS Now when the PS3, PSP, and Vita can all play PSone classics independently. Sony has an amazing backlog like Nintendo to draw from, so it only makes sense that they get this going in the next year.
This game is actually amazing. The design and ideas, just like with the Vita LBP, go far beyond what the first two games did. I have had the game get stuck while loading a level and some frame drops, but nothing "game-breaking." I am kind of surprised at how much loading there still is...especially since there is a large focus on linked levels now. Regardless, I am having plenty of fun with it and this and Geometry Wars 3 have been my co-op go to games lately.
The breaking down of information and content = over-extended hype trains and DLC.
Oh well, it's not as bad as the Versus XIII wait time or getting excited for Rapture for years to find out it's FFXIV to find out it's horrible and takes another two years to re-release. Those waits are unbearable.
I still don't understand why they wouldn't. The premise of the games alone has so much more potential than continuing WKC. There are various rumours pointing towards Ni No Kuni 2 (probably all from thuway lol), but I would take them with a pack of McDonald's fries. Though it is entirely possible and I wouldn't be mad.
My logic is that in an era where BC is pretty much dead and you're getting higher res and frames and all the DLC I never bought included, this will be a nice $15 pickup a year or so from now when I'm craving said masterpiece and don't want to hook up my ps3 (DLC and extra visual fidelity are also factors). Remasters are a valuable asset to have in the first few years of a console's life when the flow of games slows. That and it's kind of necessary for those who never playe...
Fingers crossed for Dark Cloud 3.
Though I would settle for a new Rogue Galaxy game.
Would also probably settle for Ni No Kuni 2 with a more engaging/strategy-focused combat system, but I think that story has maxed out its potential based on how Ghibli normally works.
Or a new IP or a true DQ (VIII>Heroes). So many options. Watch it be FFXIII-4 lol...
I'm all for improvements for any console, but do people have to be so ignorant? The only features 360 had over ps3 were achievements and party chat. Besides that, PS3 was vastly superior in terms of media features, having dedicated servers (people often get this confused), free online, wifi and hdmi from the get-go (not years later), blu-ray, and cheap non-proprietary expandable storage. So...ya if anything the xbox has been playing the more important imitation game w/ blu-ray, servers, w...
Not sure why you got so many disagrees. PS4 has a larger user base and has been selling more on average, so once X1 sales return to near-neutral and PS4 sales increase by more than double, we could easily be looking at 10,000 X1s to 20 to 25,000 PS4s. I'm not an expert though obviously... Get the salt out and shake it like a polaroid picture.
I agree. Started to think melee wasn't the best choice. The game just felt like button mashing for days. I never played any other Diablo though, so I'm not really sure what constitutes a well-executed one. III definitely bored me though. No offense to anyone who enjoyed it thoroughly. My cup of tea for action games is more an action RPG like Monster Hunter, Dark Cloud, or Kingdom Hearts. Games you might not like.
I find a lot of the Canadian review sites biased toward PS exclusives. Wish a few more of my fellow Canadians respected games outside of the FPS genre. I think they just picked the wrong writers for the jobs. You need more people who enjoy games from a wide variety of genres. You need people who see the merit in games like Journey and Heavy Rain. Guess we'll keep being fed the same line: "PS exclusives are superior from a technical standpoint, but they all have generic gameplay!"...
Thomas Was Alone was great. Haven't tried Unit 13 yet. Still have to go back to killzone that I got from that 9 dollar sale.
Hated it years ago because I didn't understand it. It doesn't help that they give you such a mediocre team and throw you right into a championship tourney with little knowledge of how it works. I did play the game again maybe 3 years ago and had more fun with it because I finally started to understand it. Still frustrating at times though...
Disagree buddy. I full appreciate the 3DS. It has a great library. Doesn't change the fact that it's on the weak side in terms of hardware though.
Come on and reply you craven exclusive thief! Been playing MH since the PS2 original.
So excited. Was close to getting this for 20 dollars but held off. I wish nintendo didn't strike that exclusive deal with capcom. MH could have been more impressive on the vita hardware.
lmao wow you just made my day. Someone needs to bury the XIII franchise and never speak of it again. I have hopes for Nomura's KH/FF hybrid!
My roommate has it. It is more COD-like than I expected (and even more simplistic in some ways). It's a cool game overall, but like Infamous, it has it's faults and I don't see either game having much longevity. Infamous you might play through twice to net you close to 30 hours and Titanfall you would probably be done in 20 to 30 hours. It just depends on if you're that person on my friend's list who plays COD every day of the year. What is wrong with those people btw? <...
Because reviews usually have a huge impact upon a game's success these days. If you're going to discredit a high-end game, at least have the decency to give it an average score (after you just stated that it has "likeable" and "beautiful" traits). A 6/10 is below average and near a complete flop (5/10 and under get this title I feel). None of the infamous games have been below average. Yes, there are opinions, but when you use yours to damage the rep of a perfectly...
FFXHD for $25 is my goal, but I just got FC4, LBP3, CQ2, and GW3 so I could wait lol. Abbreviations just got real...
