The fact that you got ANY agrees for this statement shows this site is filled with a large group of people that aren't even gamers at all
...why would anyone ever wish for a gaming option to disappear just cause they aren't interested in the option? As an owner of all the consoles and a PC, it's actually even my preferred gaming outlet of choice this gen...you should give it a shot before blindly hating it.
...if it's that bad...what are you ...
5 out of 10 is wayyyyyyyy low IMO
I care what Sony does at E3...while that statement is stupid...hes not 100% wrong. Last E3 was dissapointing for Sony...other than Horizon it was just CG trailers for games that havent even come close to launching (well except UC4 finally) and talk about Tv...basically everything that was wrong with MS's 2013 E3. i went into E3 looking forward to UC4...and left looking forward to UC4 ...which has been delayed twice.... and Horizon. Sony is the king of promising and not delivering for year...
You seriously need to watch the video/read the article.
So considering that DF and everyone else that has gotten their hands on this game so far have nothing but praise for it...seems like Pixel counters are just painting themselves into a corner on this one.
DF exists to tell us what res/fps games run at and over all they have nothing but outstanding praise for the game...they admit they don't KNOW what the res is because of the effects/rendering techniques that are being used, and they have openly said that if it's 720p ...
...I think they WANT me to be lying.
@italiano incorrect MP runs at 900p 60fps, but the fact that you couldn't tell speaks wonders
Really? I was playing last night on both on my 70" 4k tv and didn't even notice a difference..maybe ill try again and pay more attention
Edit: Why the down votes? Its a fact that I wasn't looking for a difference so I didn't see one
You guys really need to watch the video. At this point all the nay-sayers better hope and pray it's 720p, because if it's not...all they did was prove that resolution is the least important aspect of gaming and that other effects are MUCH more important. If the difference between 1080p and 720p was as big as people around here suggest...they wouldn't be saying things like "If it's 720p and not 1080p that's a lie" ...they'd look at the video and say. "...
The only people that would get "Mad" are those that want the game to fail anyway. If you released this game and told everyone it was 1080p (assuming it won't be)...no one would know any different and there would be no talk of res. It would then shift to "screen-tearing and black crush" ...which are great things to complain about because they are easy to make up. ...it's funny that, that level of nitpicking only goes one direction around here.
I always love when DF...a site that exists SOLELY to tell us Res difference looks at a pre-release version of a game...and has a hard time telling you what res it is...yet says it looks amazing, and is one of the most ambitious games ever made and runs completely solid....yet on N4G we're supposed to believe the game is doomed....dat damage control
So the jury is still out on the res...but IF it turns out to be 720p...pixels counters should be worried...because it's E...
I appreciate Phil's stance on this, and coming out immediately and saying this isn't what MS is about...at the same time, I don't appreciate the PC police acting like this is a crime of humanity...the dancers were willing participants and had no problem taking the money, and it was an after party. ...that being said, bet money 99% of the people saying this is a horrible thing are staring at the picture RIGHT NOW
Then maybe now is the time for "yes" or "no" instead of PR talk
...the crazy thing is that a lot of products owe their success/failure due to the adaption of Porn...so maybe in the long run PSVR setting the maturity filter on their device could hurt.
I hope both succeed and I see advantaged to each. It'll be rough in the first gen because you're trying to make stuff that is accessible due to price, but still a quality product. At this point it seems to me that Rift is the better product with better library of games, so I'm leaning more that way myself, but I can see PSVR doing really well due to the fact that it's much more attainable to the average gamer, and therefore will get the most support off the bat. I think 2nd...
I see both sides of this "argument". Some people saying "well that applies to Rift and Vive too cause it doesn't include the PC"...which is true, but if we are looking at it as a complete VR set...then it's correct that $399 isn't the "real price" (unless you already own the controllers and camera). If you're someone that doesn't have a way to play games and you have to buy the PC/PS4 to use the VR device then we are talking about something ...
That actually helps prove my point. Wii was cheap and easy to get into...so it sold like crazy....but then when better products came out with a bigger library of great games...wii/wii u went off to the wayside. So again....while I've always loved Nintendo and will most likely get an NX at launch....does anyone think it has console gaming locked down? Or is even the gamer console of choice? ...the EXACT same situation exists with Vr right now. Sony has the easiest VRdevice to access....bu...
It's a little presumptuous to assume that Sony already has this "locked up", that's a very fanboyish view on the situation. True the price point makes it the easiest to get into, and may help it grab an early lead in the first gen. However, if other companies make a better product with a better library of games (which already exists)...and they are able to get to a close price point...then by no means with Sony have a "lock" on VR.
Wii and Wii ...
I never could get into God of War....they looked good, but just couldn't keep me interested. I just wanna see more Horizon from Sony...and maybe Syphon Filter...or maybe something else new...nothing else rumored as of yet has me excited.
Amazing looking game no doubt....THE most visually stunning game ever created is stretching it.
Fantastic looking game, and I can't wait to play it, but some people have put this game on too high of a pedestal and need to come back to reality just a little bit. The game will be great, but like every other game, it won't be perfect...just relax and enjoy it for what it is. (In fact while I'm sure I'll like UC4, I doubt I'll like it more than Fallout 4 no m...
