It's crazy how polarized the reviews are for this game. Most "legit" sites have 8's 9's or even 10's...but you can see all these no name sites giving it like 4's - 6's....it's obvious there are just some people that WANT the game to fail. Sad really. I'm leaning towards the majority of reviews 8-10's. Also reading the low reviews, never seem have any true merit....just "uhhhhh....too much story.....uhhh....not good". It's so tran...
How are you (purposely) missing all the perfect scores and 9/10's then?
In case you're wondering if there is a bias in gaming reviews (and this site), please use this as a prime example.
Most reviews give the game glowing praise, but typically no-name sites from people that troll these boards make a "legit" site and just spout off their bias...and say things like "it's amazing...3/5 or 6/10". It hard to take a lot of those "legit" sites seriously when I see those exact same people here on these boards saying ...
Yeah, just go buy a $2000 computer to make the differences noticeable enough to care... /s
Get over it and just play the game
This is a prime example why you can't trust gamer reviews/metacritic. A no name site, with an author named "M. Bargo" writes a review for a game trying to get their site noticed that says "Masterpiece" "3/5".
It also seems like this gen too many "legit" sites are really just fanboy outlets, where someone is trying to "publish" their biased opinion with more legitimacy. I have and love all the consoles, but it really doe...
So
There is nothing misleading here, it's all very clear and correct. It's only people that WANT to see it as PR BS or misleading that are seeing it that way. If we go around the gaming industry and look at all the statements we could find this level of PR talk ANYWHERE...yet somehow it's only an issue on this site when MS says it.
DX12 "Support" or built ground up for DX12?
They can commit to cross-play/cross-buy, UWP, Cloud-Processing (as coming up with Crackdown 3, and perhaps Project Iridies), Solid dedicated servers...already in place), they can continue to make great games, they can expand HMD support (HoloLens and Vive/Occulus...perhaps with FULL VR support through an external processor like with PSVR and/or project Iridies...as already demo'ed), they can make Xbox timeless by making it run on the same OS moving forward regardless of how powerful your ...
This argument always cracks me up...in the grand scheme of things...power-wise PS4 and X1 aren't that different in terms of power...yet SOMEHOW people are totally willing to accept that PS4 can run VR but X1 can't
...no need to copy and paste paper specs, we've all seen them a million times, and we've all seen that in the end result they don't look nearly as impressive...because X1 and PS4 don't work the same way.
Nope, this is a stretch. MS is just more focused on making the Xbox brand timeless...and getting rid of any back compat concerns for the future.
Not to mention, MS has openly said that they are just waiting for the right time to jump in, they have Vive/Occulus compatibility for now...which as it stands, will just do streaming, but if you go back and watch the interviews with Kudo...he was VERY specific in saying that they were looking at ways to make "DX12 the best way t...
Really? That'd be great for them...but I hadn't heard that at all. Do you have a source for that?
I'm not sure that would ever happen, but I can't say I'd be mad about the Motorstorm team making Forza Rally
It sucks anytime a studio closes, but it seems like in the gaming industry...studios closing = re-structuring in a way...not literally, but in the sense that I'm sure all these talented Devs will/have already found new homes at other studios.
Sometimes it can work out for the best, if a studio is headed the wrong direction...the ideas can be scrapped and then the talent put to better use...like if we end up getting Fable 4 out of Lionhead closing or something similar.
God, the game looks F'n amazing. Remedy really outdid themselves on this one. I can't wait to play it...and those particle effects and lighting are second to none.
Apparently this is an update from Remedy regarding the Res:
https://twitter.com/Leandro...
Sounds damn impressive. Just goes to show that the people latching onto a number are MASSIVELY jumping to false conclusions...let go of the number, this game is proving the number means next to nothing in cases like these.
If Res was as important as some people act...then we wouldn't need to reach out to Remedy and Phil for answers...we could tell right away (like last gen) and DF...a site that exists to look into this kind of stuff would know right away what the res is...instead of publishing an article saying even they aren't sure...and then taking a step further and saying that even if it was 720p..the rendering technique they used makes the 1080p vs 720p argument virtually obsolete....because the ja...
EXACTLY!! Looks amazing and I can't wait to play it. It's one of if not THE best looking game this gen...whatever RES it is. Even DF can't tell us for sure what res it is, and they have openly said that the rendering technique used for this game invalidates the typical 1080p vs 720p argument because the jaggies are all but gone.
Bottom line, the game looks amazing in every aspect...play it....of course the PC version will be graphically superior...they always ar...
It would be nice if we could have crossplay, starting with Division, BO3, and Destiny...and on Azure servers so we could all play on TRUE dedicated servers...not the crap Activision ones. (I know Division is Ubisoft...but crossplay for that game would be awesome too).
As of right now 71% of the reviews are 80 or higher on Metacritic, that's 51 out of 71 reviews, and 23 of those 51 were over 90. It's fair to say that the VAST majority of reviewers LOVE the game, it's just some nay sayers trying REALLY REALLY hard to bring the game down.
