the KZ2 & and KZ3 stories are awful. The KZ universe is interesting, and they've taken a lot of time to build these worlds from a visual perspective. There's a lot of potential there, but my God, the stories and the dialogue and acting are a b s o l u t e l y awful. The issue was the overly Americanized culture of the ISA, IMO. The characters' motivations were so damn shallow. And the dialogue has always been incredibly one dimensional. The gameplay itself is unbelievably bril...

Haha. How will they properly simulate that collision?!
***No horses were hurt during mo-cap sequencing***
Yes yes. The melee was done so well in KZ3, but I do hope they go back a bit to the KZ2 roots on some aspects. In terms of a shooter, I was so incredibly impressed by the system GG built. Some of my fondest FPS memories are in KZ2. I did also really dig the online missions things (what are they called again?) operative something... anyway.
And by God, I hope the story / acting / dialogue goes through a massive overhaul. I find it to be so incredibly weak in comparison to the ...
@kopicha
Solid post, man. I can tell English isn't your first language, but you wrote eloquently and very clearly! And it was much more insightful than the majority of comments on here. Bubs+ for you my friend.
Information drought is right. I also can't believe it's been a year since the first trailer.
Got to say I respect Rockstar for doing good work and let hype build by itself. Reminds me of a famous Tao saying, "Do your work, and then let go".
Abuuuhhhh?? It seems to me streaming video games involves much less hassle, and thus would appeal MOSTLY to the casual base. Hence the masses. It'd be like someone buying a TV that can stream video games by itself. The casual base just wants to pick up and play.
It ALSO has a chance to appeal to the 'hardcore' base by providing next-gen type games through the same console.
Something like that.
Though it's already known, that country space looks massive. Seems like with the addition of horses suggests that there will be loads of missions there. Not just a city game... Excited.
Edit: And of course a proper ode to Red Dead :)
Holy smokes, he... um, whatever f*** you.
:p
I did actually REALLY dig the Move with KZ3. Hell with any shooter, it was like a mouse on PC but even more intuitive in a way...
Holy smokes. Trailer?
Man.. the slums of South America. That'd be wildly good.
Damn! Didn't expect that. Well, to be honest I didn't know what to expect. I remember playing Halo 2 on my xbox with some friends and having a serious blast. Though I never played the single player so I can't really say much.
I am really happy for 343 though. They had a lot to work up to but it looks like their passion and talent surpassed expectations. And that's something to really acknowledge.
I don't have a 360 so i'm not sure i...
Cool post, bro.
That's definitely pretty sweet.
Spam rules.
Not a bad little comment there.
Been tempted as of late to get GTA vice city / san andreas for my old macbook. Tis my only CPU. But I don't think Rockstar ever made one for the mac in mind, would be some sort of port. Fuck it, I think i'll do it anyway.
holy the shit
Indeed it must go on. Especially after having built one of the most insane engines! I've watched the Ascension videos, and I must say it looks like it will be an intense experience.
I want to see Sony Santa Monica studios pushing the hell out of this engine and creating worlds as intricate and detailed as they're known for. Aaaaand the cinematic nature of GOWIII just wow'd me, and i'm excited to see how they push that. Oh, and the moving levels, the titans and...
There were some moments, namely when Malcolm McDowell was doing his thing, where it actually seemed all right. But there was a noticeable disconnect with the acting and writing. I just felt there was absolutely no substance. At times there were interesting philosophical things going on, but it was almost as though each actor were speaking separate from each other.
