Just a couple o guys, chewin some gum, reminiscin of days gone by.
"Playing Survival Instinct is like listening to a roomful of barely competent musicians, each of whom is playing a completely different song. And every once in a while one kicks you in the groin. Also, you have a sunburn."
Hehe. This made me laugh.
You're right. But I wouldn't be so dismissive of new technologies. Where one developer might throw in a bunch of snazzy tech effects and couple that with dull and uninventive gameplay and art design, another developer will marry all elements perfectly to create something beautiful.
It's a brilliant thing to get a leap in technology, and we'll get a whole range of developers trying to do their thang. But pay attention to those who care about the craft and we...
A good reply, but...
One has to realize, controversial scores do not build community. They are known as cheap hits for a reason. If you rely on that, you'll gain interest only momentarily until your "brand" is deemed unreliable.
The wisest way to build reliable traffic is to build a reliable reputation. That takes time. You might not get traffic for the first 10 reviews, but you will if you keep appearing on this site with review after review. ...
You played MW3 online for 4 months, while not liking it?
I agree obviously. It's an absolutely terrible and petty idea.
However, if EA and Blizzard were in any way on the ball, they would have understood the risks of implementing always-online DRM, and made absolutely 100% sure that it would work right off the bat. In that case, though we would still believe always-online DRM to be a terrible thing, we wouldn't have so much ammunition against them.
...But, they royally f***ed up their launches beyond belief...
Hm, I believe you're right about this. The solution to this is to NOT buy EA games. "Vote with your wallet" is the mantra making the rounds.
I haven't played SimCity since some of the first ones, and the franchise reminds me of such good times during childhood. I absolutely have loved playing SimCity in the past and was really looking forward to this one at some point. I don't have a PC just yet but ya know, was just looking forward to it in general.
Mmm indeed. It really is silly how people hold SCE as a publisher that needs to innovate innovate innovate beyond belief. The amount of guff God of War is getting for being "more of the same" is so ridiculous. They are pushing the quality to an unprecedented level. SCE owned studios put SO MUCH passion & effort in their games and it shows. The quality is often beyond what is expected.
I have faith that SCE is pushing new IP's as we speak, as they've neve...
Cool post.
SilentNegotiator, thanks for the laugh man. Hehe.
I was really hoping it would be a little touchscreen sort of like that animated GIF someone showed off. Little icons for messaging and things of that nature, like a pocket XMB.
But I do agree, a touchpad is odd. I suppose it adds more options for more buttons though, so that's never a bad thing.
Even less now!!!!!
My Christ, Canada is still so ancient in its communications services... I don't recall getting capped when I was with tekksavvy, but that's a service only available in Toronto, methinks. Not a clue who I'm with now, as I don't take care of that, but it may be Videotron (Mtl).
What company you with Alpha? Rogers?
RustedMan,
I completely agree. I think the gameplay elements in KZ2 were top notch, frankly, but the storyline, script, and voice acting are just 'infantile' as you put it. I honestly felt so distracted by how poor those elements were executed. The graphics, gameplay, art design, multiplayer, were extremely good, but I thought reviews were unfortunately way too lenient on the poor story and character development.
I remember when they said they were in...
Rofl.
So this is another major indicator for the PS4 reveal on the 20th. At least, it's that much more obvious.
I feel as though it is very much possible many first party studios may be releasing these new games both on PS4 and PS3. Still a massively growing userbase for the PS3.
Anything they are working on I have confidence in... whether it be LBP 3 or a new IP. I'm very, very excited to see what they've been up to.
Ow.. god damn onion juice in my eyes...
Technically, that it was I'm expecting. However, the difference is that now we're getting a whole slew of creative developers using technology that has been available on PC for some time. That means Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, Guerilla, Polyphony, Sucker Punch, Media Molecule, and more (as well as multiplatform developers, sorry for seeming PS3-centric atm), working on these updated platforms,
What I'm saying is that, yes, games on PC have far surpassed current con...
Wow. What a crap title. Just for pandering to that immature perspective, I know I will get nothing from this.
Small minded as hell, and frankly just stupid. I don't usually dig this expression, but f*ck it: get out more, and go talk to a woman ffs.
That's one of the massive points of interest for me so far. I love the idea that every interaction with either another human or infected is each something entirely different. I love the idea that i'll approach each individual differently, and I love the idea that it will be a stressful and difficult ordeal.
I mean, compared with say Uncharted, or practically any game, here it seems as though you're not just plowing through automatons that are all the same.
I think he's pretty charming, actually.
You're just a dumb ass.
