I hope they will be separate campaigns, in the sense that it doesn't switch back and forth in the middle of it. But I think it'd be very interesting if their paths crossed (which I'm sure they will)
Either way, we'll find out in about an hour how it'll all work. I hope it doesn't mean we have to sacrifice a level of immersion just to accommodate 3 different protagonists... I hope Rockstar knows what they're doing, and I have a hunch that they do!
Sigh nevermind, answered my own question by actually CAREFULLY reading the article. Just a bit over an hour... May God help us all.....
Edit: NOOO it's central time... i'm GMT that means 2 hours! Melting... I'm MELTING... *silent fading whimpers*
Yes, it's inside it, the internet. Inside. Look inside. the internet.
Frig. I thought I was clicking on a link that took me to the main info.
I thought they published the digital version at 5pm GMT. Which would be round 20 minutes ago. Why ya saying 2 hours n 30 mins?
Will the madness NEVER END?!?
Am just about to read it... Am just bout to click... zomg I don't know if I want to click it yet. This is it...
Ok i'm being ridiculous. I'm clicking...
@ Starchild, not really.
That's due to marketing. I heavily doubt that the droves of people who buy COD buy it because they have played say, Starhawk or BF3 or (insert w/e game here), and thought to themselves, "I think COD is a better game". Now, a lot do that, and a lot of people prefer COD. But I'd probably be right to assume that a very large proportion of people buy it because it's the most heavily marketed game in store, the most talked about, the ...
It does look miles ahead of IV. I actually watched the GTAIV trailer from way back when, and good god it's come a long way.
I'm truly excited for todays news blowout.
also, I wish that was CJ :p
As much as I'd love to read it directly from the sweet succulent source...
...someone will post pictures within minutes of its release. Hell, if I were you my friend, I'd start a blog, throw a few ads on there, and be the first one to post the pics. Money your way ;)
Can't wait for tomorrowz.
I find it a lot more rewarding on harder difficulties. But then again, I need to get a grip on the gameplay first, usually by playing it once on normal mode.
Right, which brings to mind... every game should have different difficulty settings. Accessibility isn't a bad thing, but it should hamper the experience of more experienced gamers. Everyone should have the opportunity to be "challenged" by a game, that's the whole idea. But everyone has their own learn...
I reaaaaally hope that a big innovation this time around is in AI. The one thing I want more of are events that happen just out of AI interactions with you and the environment. Things that happen all the time around the world, in a way a living breathing world would. People get mugged. People get shot. People deal some drugs. People fight over things. Cops doing their job. This and that.
Just so that the entire world is always fresh. And you never know what might happen. My ...
Also, @payday,
I think it's in-game rather than concept, albeit probably retouched with AA and all that to smooth it out. Take a look at the jetski, from a typography perspective, the lettering on "LIFEGUARD" seems to stretch, and that's only possible when stretching over a texture with in-game assets. So to my discerning eye, it looks in-game, and my does it look gorgeous. Water effect and lighting and facial expression are top notch.
I'm up for two playable characters if they work it out well. Essentially they're just prolonging the story mode, and giving two perspectives on the living virtual world they've built.
I do hope it's not something that switches back and forth, but rather play as one character, finish the story, and then start a new story with the other character. Almost like when they added the DLC for GTAIV, but now it's packaged within it.
Again, I love t...
I don't understand why Modnation Racers wasn't better received. I thought it was really great. Had such a blast playing it with my friends - all of us yelling and hollering at the screen. Whew man, was good fun.
I think going for LBP Karting was a silly idea. I suppose they thought they'd merge the two franchises and because of the popularity of LBP it would work better in their favor, but I think going with MNR2 (as Alpha suggested) would have been a better idea....
Hehe, indeed. We'll all be filling up the article page with a bizillion comments.
I wonder how many? Potentially the most we'll have ever seen...
To Be Continued...
I feel as though an article like this, posted only a few hours after the supposed "leak", could have sufficed as a comment, rather than a whole article.
Anyhow.
Thanks man. Good find, good to know.
@calibann
I think he's basing it off previous iterations of GTA... so frankly when one is speculating (and one does), the most informed guess you can make is based off the previous games, IMO.
I don't personally care about the gyms and tattoos. Though I hope clothing / accessories customization is deeper than GTAIV.
I agree with you, but I do think it's generally difficult to communicate through the messages in the xmb. I always just call a friend over the phone to set up a game, but it gets to be a pain when you're calling every disconnect, or when you leave a game. I just find that most the time if I send a message on the xmb, there's a good chance someone will miss it, and then there's no notification, or that frankly it's just a pain in the ass to respond. I don't know what th...
@dboyc
Yeah I feel ya. I don't think this "list" is really indicative of the gameinformer info, though... I mean, 18 pages is a lot to elaborate. This list seems a bit lacking.
The one thing that got me really excited was "property buying is back", but again frankly this info leak is so bare bones that you can't know how deep the property system would be...
So ya, we'll wait to the 8th, get the proper mag info...
No friggin' way. I'm gonna give it a read now, but if you're right... then Holy crap indeed.
