Damn, man. That is actually a very good question.
I'll not know the answer until the moment of truth...
Having only played Dead Space 2, and having been following updates on DS3, I feel a serious sympathy for longtime fans of the series. What drew me into the franchise in the first place were reviews noting its incredibly subtle and expertly crafted 'atmosphere', which was undeniably creepy to the bone. What drew me into it was actually a curiosity of the survival horror genre. I did not buy it to play an action game - there are hundreds of those.
This franchise catered...
haha I had a good lol
Same day as my birthday, no big deal... Just the same day as my birthday is all. But definitely not a big deal...
BIRTHDAY TEASER!!!!@%@flfifl
Hahaha. Oh man that was good. Also laughing hysterically at the Gabe Newell at E3 one...
RICOCHET 2!!!!!! haha!
rrquinta,
Besides your awesome domain name "t.co", the title you chose for your article is sort of aiming for that sensationalist crap we're trying to avoid, especially considering the subject of the article.
Now, the fact that you post a comment reply only 3 minutes after mandf defending your article seems to me to indicate that you're awfully aware of the 'feedback' you'll be getting from N4G.
And if you spent ...
Good post. I do think Sony, as a publisher, deserves credit for constantly pushing creativity and new IPs.
It is inspiring, and I do believe fortune favors the bold.
Holy the sh*t...
I love the attention to detail, as the skin seems to be growing a light fuzz on it and fragmenting... quite like mushroom texture.
darkride66, well written and well thought out post. It was a joy to read. Cheers and um, bubs+
I've never actually seen a 4K in action, but isn't it pretty much pointless until you get a TV 60"+?
I'm sure someone can enlighten me on the specifics. But if that is the case, I will reiterate that I think nailing down 1080P is more important when it comes to video games.
I suppose the whole pushing 4K has more to do with movie but I could be wrong. Either way, I don't have an 80" TV quite yet and don't intend on getting one fo...
Hehe yes @ above.
I always love E3 time. Get myself some beer/wine, and a pizza, and plant myself for the conference. A PS4 announcement would be succulent sweet!
...also unrelated, can't wait for Walking Dead AMC in February!
They (the developers) took a long time building an incredibly robust and impressive engine for GOW3 dude. They are clearly pushing the bounds of said engine and we will probably really see it shine in Ascension. For them to release just one game after building an engine from scratch would be ridiculous from a money standpoint, but more importantly for gamers, it would be a serious waste. From the videos i've seen for Ascension, it's looking like it will really push the bar.
...
Entirely correct.
It really pisses me off that people in power can't be held accountable for willfully ignoring scientific research. All the solutions you mentioned are proven to be very likely to lead to a steady decline in gun violence. Free and good access to mental health care is an absolutely must.
And yeah, like you said, there is little to no evidence that support the 'videogame leads to violence' theory, as far as I've researched. Poli...
Well said starchild.
A locked framerate is very key. 30 FPS as long as it does not dip, results in a great experience. 60 FPS is of course preferable, but I do not mind at all if a developer chooses to push graphical capabilities whilst maintaining that steady framerate goodness.
Balance is important, and optimized coding is important. Screen tearing sucks and framerate dips suck.
@Eyeco, yeaaaah that instantly reveals the nature of the website for me. No effective journalism here. Won't get a click from me.
Buuut will engage in gaming conversation with my fellow gamers nonetheless :D
Dayum. I've not really checked up on PC games in some time. Used to be a CS 1.3-1.6 player, then went to PS3. Love my PS3 exclusives.
But watching Firefall, Total War Rome 2, and Metro Last Light recently makes me really uh, whoa.
PC gaming has come a long way...
Though I agree that it's obviously not a very impressive leap, and when it comes to this article and this topic of discussion, the WiiU has yet to impress me in any way. Though I do like Nintendo's playful approach to art design...
Side note: Something about people using "waaaaaaa" in their comments is annoying. I mean, in all honesty it's really effective. When I read it, it actually sounds like a crying noise. But man I hate reading it. It's annoyi...
@Reverent,
I liked the Move with KZ3 and LBP2... but I still chuckled at Hammer's comment. Really think he should be banned for it? Think that's air you're breathing?
Hm.
Hm. Never actually played it but I thought the concept was cool as hell. Briefly saw some images and videos of the DLC which if I remember correctly were these racing "courses" that were brilliantly color coded.
...I'm gonna go watch some of them videos. Maybe get me a copy of this game.
So there's Runners at stage one of infection, and then Clickers at stage three... That explains the video preview, as to why some didn't chase you off the bat unless you made a noise.
I'm so curious what stage two is. And I love the fact that there's different behavior systems for different stages of infection.
Man... this game cannot come soon enough.
