I hope they can nail the last act this time. UC2 was great but the final scenes were so-so. UC3 ended super abruptly after the long desert scenes.
Give me an Uncharted 2-level adventure with a Last of Us-quality final act and I'm frigging SOLD.
Why stop there, writer? The Dekalogy of Devastating Delays Destined to Determine the Decency of 2015's Digital Distraction.
As a noob who's only about 8 hours into the game....TELL ME YOUR SECRETS!
2014 had way too many games, half got pushed to 2015, then half of those got pushed to 2016. This is the release date rollover generation, man.
Actually giving me a Chrono Trigger vibe with those cross attacks and the overhead battle system. We'll see how this plays out.
This just in: "Destiny 3 campaign and story hidden in Destiny beta code."
@SirBradders Yeah that is so annoying. Imagine if everyone used the brand name for every product they use. "Now that I've put on my Levi's and Van Heusen, I'm getting dinner ready with my Quisinart, then I have to take a shot of it with my Samsung S4 before I drive my 2014 Kia Sorento to the store. Orrrr I could log into my Dell Dimension 6400 and check prices first."
It makes day-to-day conversations sound like a damn commercial! I guess that's why ...
I actually want to read this, buuuuuuut Kotaku. Damn.
COD will outsell this as it does every shooter, every year. But this is my most anticipated shooter, with R6: Siege not too far behind.
"So how good was this game?"
"It was 'kay."
Apple has had a long, hard road in terms of gaming hardware, and hasn't REALLY been relevant to core gaming since like the Apple II. That said, if they can convince Apple fanbois to sit on their couch and play Candy Crush, then they can print money once again.
Ummm, you mean the tutorial chapter where you spend 90% on the floor, defenseless?
Yeah, it was striking and cinematic, but guy, that doesn't even give you a hint of what the real game is like. The open-world gameplay is extremely unscripted and totally different than in the intro. Not to say either is bad, but they're just totally different.
There is just so much in this game I can barely wrap my head around it. And Metal Gear Online isn't even out yet.
"...Rare who in the 90's were on a role..."
This annoys me way more than it should.
This guy is LITERALLY complaining that a flamethrower does more damage than a burning car. I think we need to re-purpose the IGN meme. "Flamethrower too hot. 6/10" - GameSpot
GameSpot's overall review quality has gone down as of late, they were my go-to website for nearly 15 years, but now for every accurate and biting review they make one like this:
Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition 3/10. No, not for stale mechanics, poor optimization or any of the other issues the game actually has, but sexism and stereotypes.

Wow, this is actually much sooner than I thought. I was thinking Q3-Q4 on this one. Nice!
Gotta finish my replay of DX:HR Director's Cut now!
Small screenshots do not account for over double the pixel count (sub-720p vs 1080p) and double the framerate (30fps/60fps), which are the two biggest and most resource-heavy differences. But the game is cross-gen so the graphics even on PS4 and PC aren't incredible. They sacrificed some flair that to be compatible with all 5 platforms and still support 60fps on current gen consoles.
PS2 game with a bit of shoddy texturework on the greenery, and complex geometry on the gun.
I've seen these articles on Skyrim mods for years now and I'm honestly sick of them. They're extremely curated and misleading, and if you try to recreate the look on your own PC, you're going to see where the seams split on Bethesda's poorly optimized engine, and honestly not get anything anywhere close to these screenshots.
I tried running 100+ mods on everything from terrain to character models and it looked marginally better at the cost of half my frame...
